I only finished this in a few minutes. Please listen to this review! ### 4/5 — I wish it worked with voiceover. *2023-02-21* I loved this story as a child. And have shared it with other children in my family. However, the only reason I rated it for stars is because it does not work with voiceover on the iPhone, so that blind children can’t interact with it. If possible, Sesame Street, please fix this. So many hidden gems. Any time I visit my nieces and nephews kids are climbing over me to play/read, and my infant absolutely loves it! For the person who said it needs more interaction, it doesn’t. Like the book, the story is well done it doesn’t need “bells and whistles.” It stands so strong on its own. Please don’t try to “improve” it and ruin it like “Elmo’s potty time” was ruined recently! I had basically given up that this was ever going to be updated, as they had last done an update in 2014. This would help children learn to read from the book (as it was originally intended). This was my favorite book growing up, and I'm very happy that it is now available on the iPad. In a $4 kids app!? *2015-04-28, version 5.1* This is a great app and my kid loves it but there's a shopping cart icon on the main menu (which is marginally acceptable) and now there's a splash ad. Totally unacceptable for a paid app., more unacceptable for a kid's app., and still more unacceptable for a CTVW app. Someone in your marketing dept. has a bit too much power (and a poor sense of propriety) if this kind of thing is getting through. Seriously who thought it would be a good idea to advertise to 2-4 year-olds. Grover is scared and asks (sometimes pleads) you not to turn the page. If your child listens, nothing happens. The only way to play is to ignore Grover’s feelings. Makes this app useless for my autistic son. Used to be my toddlers favorite app. Now he can’t play it because all he does it touch the ad. **Developer response:** Greetings, we've just released an update that addresses this issue. You finish it in a few minutes and then it's just a case of repetition. It gets 3/4's of the way and freezes. Deleting and reinstalling has not helped. And No it's not me or my equipment or internet connection, Other apps have downloaded without any problems. To have it in an app it’s just wonderful and I don’t even have kids and I’m 57 years old and love this thing. So glad someone had the sense to just let it be read by Grover so you get a full experience and he can interact with all of the challenges he has along the way :-) excellent book for helping a child face their fears. I won’t take a star away for this because it’s just so wonderful but I do wish that the developers would do something to make it possible for children who are visually impaired to have access to this and make it compatible for voiceover technology. Even if they can’t see the pictures, they would understand the side effects and all the expressiveness. This is coming from someone his best friend is legally blind in love this book as a child, and is very disheartened that it can’t be enjoyed.
