When switching between species, the photos glitch and revert to the same purple mushroom. This could kill someone. All this needs is a way to search by season, and away to click on the picture leading to other pictures of that mushroom. Otherwise perfect. There are plenty of times when I can't identify the species I've found, and like other reviewers, I notice species are mentioned in the texts but not covered in the identification. It has been getting occasional new species during upgrades but it's still a long way short of a proper reference work. Half the time the 'commonly confused with' links at the bottom are for mushrooms that don't have description yet. Also on the scrolling identifier the options should have a brief description as to what the pictures are indicating. Great app. Looking forward to future updates ### 2/5 — Not for identifying edible fungi *2015-07-24, version 2.0.3* A pretty app if you like looking at pictures, but do NOT use it to identify mushrooms if you intend to eat them. There are several inaccuracies that could lead to a nasty mistake. The information section also has factual errors. There are poisonous mushrooms with pores, for example, and others that will give you serious digestive challenges. So do not use this as an edibility guide or as a guide to identifying fungi without using a reliable backup source. Otherwise works well, no crashes. ### 2/5 — Not good update *2015-06-13, version 2.0.3* New update brings blurry pages. Also, need to update with more variety of mushrooms. Maybe add region where each type of mushrooms grow. A video link to each mushrooms would be nice touch. There are very high price Apps but for the money this is a good start. I would like to see a little instructions to understand the buttons a little better as well as growing conditions to raise them yourself. I gave it four stars because I think the button section needs Improvement. But the graphics seem fairly decent and simple but when they improve it a little bit I'm pretty sure they'll have a five-star app especially for $.99. ### 1/5 — Missing an entire genus *2014-12-03, version 1.1.3* Just skimming the app, i couldn't read info on most of the shrooms i wanted to because they are locked For some reason, these are organized by their common name (common morel?). And finally, the entire psilocybe genus is missing I mean come on, i know they're a taboo subject, but they are some of the most important of all mycology. I went through the identification “process” only to discover that there is no identification process. Select some features (cap shape, etc) and then...nothing. After deleting and reloading, it worked great. I recommend it to all that have an interest in mushrooms.
