### 5/5 — Not quite the same

*2021-11-14*

I had to get up at 5 this last couple of days (arghh) so too early for my paper person. I love spreading out w the paper, especially on Sundays. I’m glad I have the app for this weekend & for mondays/Tuesdays w no physical paper. It’s nice that you can read your whole article at once instead of going page by page.

### 5/5 — I LOVE MY HOMETOWN NEWSPAPER!!

*2021-04-21*

Even though I always reach for the Sports section first, I invariably wind up reading most of the articles that pertain to local stories that keep me informed on all things NORMAN.

Thanks For Always Being There!!

### 5/5 — The Good News

*2021-04-19*

Although I enjoy The Transcript in my hand every morning with my breakfast and coffee, our world is different now. Thank goodness for technology that brings the news to me, giving me the boost I need to start the day especially here in our hometown. Whatever works is fine with me, as a community we need The Transcript to keep us informed in whatever delivery mode is available.

### 5/5 — The Norman Transcript

*2021-02-27*

I look forward reading the sports page every morning (The Norman Transcript) while drinking a cup of coffee with breakfast.

### 5/5 — I’m enjoying the e-paper!

*2021-01-23*

I look forward to getting the e-edition every morning to catch up on the latest in Norman, Oklahoma, and in the editorial section with letters to the editor. Easy access to the Transcript has taken my fear out of digital paper. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Love the Paper

*2021-01-21*

The Transcript covers the local news very well! My husband reads it all!

### 4/5 — Norman Transcript

*2021-01-18*

I enjoy the online edition of the Transcript because it may be easier to read than the print edition. The online version has the ability to increase print size and is easier navigating when trying to finish a story on another page, typical online advantages over print. While I definitely enjoy the print edition, I can live with the online edition.

### 4/5 — All news

*2020-12-26*

Enjoy reading online but prefer hard copy!!

### 5/5 — Great source of local news when most relevant and mostly otherwise unavailable

*2020-12-12*

I no longer have to set aside a slug of time to go through the paper in the morning. Instead, local news story notifications come to me one at a time, when fresh, and can be quickly read at my convenience on the go. This in turn, greatly lessens time with the paper (or e-edition) in the mornings.

Still taking advantage of the real time and print edition combo

### 5/5 — Norman Transcript

*2020-12-06, version 3.2.35*

I moved from Norman in 2018 and I love the Norman Transcript because it keeps me in touch with what’s going on in Norman!I get to e-edition and I love it!

### 5/5 — Amazing !

*2020-11-15, version 3.2.35*

Keep up the good work! Very up to date!

### 5/5 — Easy to find what I am looking for

*2020-11-10, version 3.2.35*

I like the way the app looks.

### 5/5 — Norman Transcript

*2020-11-03, version 3.2.35*

Works well

### 4/5 — Local news

*2020-10-31, version 3.2.35*

The paper keeps me informed on local issues.

### 4/5 — First significant update in years worth waiting for

*2020-10-17*

We have been digital only subscribers to the Norman Transcript for 10 years. In that time, it has remained largely the same app, which I would describe as very bandwidth hungry and overall only marginally adequate. We are entirely reliant on cellular data for our wi-fi, and frequently it would take a very long time for an article or comic image to come into focus.

These and several other problems with the old app seem to have been nicely resolved by the update. Its functionality with lower bandwidth is greatly improved, and overall it’s a slicker looking product. Better late than never!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poorly developed app

*2018-08-30*

This is an app for a small city newspaper, so I wasn’t expecting something incredible. The app’s design is poor, but it’s functional. However, the app suffers from a particularly crippling bug that causes a bank video to pop up and interrupt the app all the time. I maybe get a minute of reading in before the video starts popping up incessantly. One star for an app that can’t be used for longer than a minute.

### 1/5 — Poor design

*2018-06-28, version 2.8.26*

One of the worst apps I’ve ever used. Will not keep me logged in. Navigating is infuriating. Splash screen continually interrupts articles.

### 1/5 — Will not default to ePaper mode

*2016-05-24, version 2.6.36*

When I go into "Settings" and select "Start App > ePaper" the setting does NOT hold between closing then reopening the app. This behavior is different than past versions where the settings would stay as configured. Please fix this.

### 2/5 — Hurry and read before app goes berserk.

*2017-08-24, version 2.7.20*

If you don't read it in one sitting, you can't get it back. Blank pages. Grrrrr.

### 3/5 — Downloads with errors

*2023-03-27*

50% of time it says ‘error downloading’ and the pages are fuzzy and unreadable unless I focus on single story.

### 3/5 — Ms. Woods

*2022-12-29, version 3.5.11*

I enjoy the Transcript but especially Mindy Woods reporting. The paper as a whole leans a bit to much to the left for my taste but does a good job on local news.

### 3/5 — My opinion of our paper

*2020-11-13*

While the Norman Transcript is an classic paper with well written articles. I find the writing to be tad on the left most times. Which leave me with a feeling of opinion not just the news.

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2016-11-10, version 2.7.8*

This latest update has issues. In the e-paper, often doesn't load, just white space. When it does load, after quitting and reopening, turning pages often just gets a blank page.

### 4/5 — Brief overview

*2025-07-11, version 3.18.13*

No ad inverts is a negative (reader’s Choice, grocery ads are needed to be added

### 4/5 — Useful

*2022-06-23, version 3.5.11*

Useful

### 5/5 — Hurry and read before app goes berserk.

*2024-10-15*

### 5/5 — Lance Foreman

*2023-06-22, version 3.8.06*

### 5/5 — Today’s news carriers!!!

*2022-10-18*

I have come to the conclusion that to find someone reliable to deliver your papers is almost impossible these days. I am learning how to use the online App. Will probably stop delivery soon. I know the that the
Paper boys of ‘yester years’ is gone. The
Problem today is those who need money
“Don’t want to work”. The want a hand-out.
Thanks for being patient with me. My kids are showing me how to use the Transcript app.
Have a good day.

### 5/5 — Lance Foreman

I do like the newspaper style format of the paper. It’s easy to zoom in on an article to increase the font size.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2022-01-03, version 3.4.02*

Thank you for hanging in there during these difficult times. Each of you and our delivery people are appreciated for those of us that still enjoy and appreciate a newspaper each morning.
Love Andy Rieger’s article each week and would not know many of the local events without your help.
Please continue to try to publish upcoming events BEFORE they happen, not just a picture afterwards.
