After three rounds I have not been able to watch one game through the app for Apple TV, despite the app telling me I am subscribed for the 2021 season. Whilst you can stream from your iPhone/iPad to your Apple TV box it’s very unstable, it is more stable if you connect through a web browser. I’m not sure what changes were made to “improve” the app from the previous version but is worse than ever. Last years version of the app was a lot more reliable. Unless there are some serious improvements to the app over the remaining season, I’ll be thinking twice about renewing for next season. One more gripe, if we pay for the subscription why are we being subjected to advertisements after every goal? ### 1/5 — App *2020-06-20, version 4.1.9* Does not work. Pretty standard design and content. Wish it had a ‘hide scores’ function so I don’t know the outcome before I watch the game on the app. ### 4/5 — Suggestion on Dates *2019-03-02* Like the feel of the Feb update .. one thing would be nice .. in all the fixture views it would be good to show the Day .. Sat May xx .. would be really handy! Even though it’s the instructions in the app to do it that way it’s not there when I want to add it. Every other app I can give permissions but SANFL doesn’t even show up. Please fix this as I would like to know when my team is playing and get the appropriate notification. ### 4/5 — Great app. *2017-05-09, version 3.1.1* Great app for anyone following the SANFL. Only thing is the widget for the app seems to be broken. ### 3/5 — Decent app but listening to games is broken *2022-05-28* I’ve used the app for years. For a state league, it’s really very decent. Live stats and ladder, quick loading, updates to fixtures when needed, news, videos etc are great. A big caveat that has never been a problem before renders my weekend use case, well, useless. Throughout 2022 I’ve had at least two or three of the games I can’t get to have zero ability to livestream the audio commentary for the entire game. Restarting the app, the phone, closing all other apps down does nothing. There’s no audio commentary on the SANFL Now app, which is a big oversight, so I can’t even check there. Can this be fixed or remedied ASAP? I even asked on the SANFL FB page about this but did not receive a reply… ### 3/5 — Player stats view needs work *2021-04-19, version 5.0.8* A lot of key stats missing. Need to go to the website to get a full view. At least put hit outs in the app! ### 3/5 — Good but needs fixing *2020-09-05* The app is good but sometimes a bit slow to update the scores. Biggest problem for me would be that when you are listening to the game, it keeps stopping. Unsure why?? ### 2/5 — Learn from the AFL app *2026-06-28* I prefer to use the AFL app to the SANFL app to follow SANFL scores. The AFL app is much easier to follow. It shows the exact time elapsed on a continuous basis and is much more aesthetically appealing.
