Overall guys it’s production is very amateurish, I especially enjoyed the review for the film Jaws 2, it’s an instant classic and really a lot of laughs for the whole family. All in all guys this is a great app, it’s slick, professional, it’s got everything you could want in an app I’d have to give it 5 stars ### 5/5 — Popcorn Classic *2015-10-11* This app has changed my life. Wired recently did an extensive feature on the development that went into to the back end of this. Heard a rumor that Google might be buying the rights to this for their nu(sic) "Patriot Phone". Looking forward to Tim's interview on The Sean Hannity show about having to cut review budgets in the wake of Obamacare. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Very disappointing *2023-10-25* There appears to be no reviews of any recent films! The only reason I bought the app was to checkout views on movies just released to see if they’re worth going to - but NONE of the ones I entered were there. Perhaps the cue is the title at the top of the app’s home page - ‘2017 Mobile version’. Even the previous user reviews were rubbish - nobody even mentions that the app doesn’t review recent films. In short if all you want to know about is old films then fine - otherwise don’t buy this app!! ### 1/5 — No audio, Ads before episodes. 0 bagger. Disappointing. *2021-11-11* Should be taken down. There should at least be a developer note that the app doesnt work correctly anymore. I get that its 8 years old, so either fix the audio or stop selling it. I know its only .99 cents but c’mon it’s still money. It’s handy and has a review for almost any film you can think of, but the analysis isn’t as in depth as you might be accustomed to from Tim and Gregg if you’re a regular viewer of On Cinema. The app is aesthetically a bit dated and could really use a brush up However, I’m giving this another two stars because of the extras. I’m not a US citizen nor do I live in the United States, but the US constitution is a genius addition to this app. When I’m doing research about the deep state, I can conveniently check constitutionality in my Film Guide app! ### 5/5 — Popcorn *2022-12-26* I made the popcorn recipe in the app. It wasn’t listed but I used ghee as the base oil and it came out great. I’m an Act II guy myself but wow get rid of the microwave and try your stove! It tasted like I was back in front of the silver screen at my favorite local theater. I was able to read the Constitution of the United States while eating the popcorn which was a nice bonus, but I would give this app 4 stars because they didn’t include the amendments. The popcorn is really great though and there’s also some movie reviews and suggestions so they earned that star back. Now that I think of it I could have watched a movie while eating the popcorn, instead of reading the constitution. Maybe in the future they’ll add watching the movies they suggest through the app. Or maybe just add a notification “Hey don’t forget to watch a movie!” when you follow the popcorn recipe. Logical next step. But yeah it seems to be mainly about movies so popcorn and constitution enjoyers- buyer beware.
