The car was utterly immaculate. Brand new, 3000 miles on the clock and super high spec. The team are so helpful with extending the trip, changing pick up times etc. All super helpful and very quick to reply. On a cost basis it’s also not expensive when you consider the spec of car you get and the flexibility. Great thing with the P400e is we only used 1/2 tank of petrol in 9 days. They deliver and pick up the vehicle, give you a brand new Range Rover, Unlimited Miles and a Steering Wheel Lock. But this company definitely deserves my time to write them a review. The guys at THE OUT have been absolutely amazing in sorting me and my wife a car for the weekend to go France. However it doesn’t pass the second line of the address properly to some other parts of the system so for example the pickup driver only knows, say, flat 10 but not, say, 75 Regent Street. A bit of a problem for pickup! (The same omission is on the receipt but curiously all the detail appears in the confirmation email to which the receipt is attached to. >>>> The app developer response "Hi there, Please accept our apologies for this. I believe there was a small bug at the time, however the full address is always passed over to us, making sure we know the exact place to arrive." >> Too bad they don’t then pass the info to the person delivering or read feedback fully. The pickup driver COULD NOT find me as she did not have the full address. Will be booking again. ### 5/5 — The way car hire should be! *2019-08-25, version 5.1.1* A superb service especially if you’re a busy Londoner who wants to get out of town now and then. Really happy with my first hire. Super simple booking, drop-off, collection and refuelling at the pump price for you. All saves lots of faff. My only gripe would be the slightly clunky email-based process to add a second driver. However now with two kids we do like to get out and explore. I have to say using the service was fantastic. The car arrived on time (even early), and was picked up on time. There was no fuss and the ability to get baby / booster seats preloaded and for free makes this the perfect service when you would like to get away for the weekend but don’t necessarily need a car all of the time. First try checked all the boxes: clean new vehicle, delivered on time by friendly staff. 5 minutes to scrutinize the car, ask a few questions and get the keys, 2 minutes to do the same and give it back a few days later. Our Wedding was in a very rural part of Somerset, so there was plenty of driving involved ferrying people around, not to mention the 4 hour drive from London. Having the Range Rover sport made it all an absolute pleasure. The best and most comfortable car I’ve ever driven! Great service from the Out. The car was delivered and collected exactly on time, with very clear instructions on the process. We will definitely be using them again!! ### 5/5 — The future of car rental *2019-08-06, version 5.1.1* Awesome app, service and experience! The booking process is super easy, the car selection is great, service was super fast (over a weekend) and they had fixed all the things I hate about traditional car rental companies. One simple price that includes delivery to your location, insurance and unlimited mileage. You don’t need to fuel the car up at the end of your journey - they do it for you and charge at cost. Highly recommended! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Changed my delivery time multiple times *2023-12-23, version 12.20* Requested me to change my delivery date next time to accommodate their own issues- which I confirmed (and changed my plans to do so) and they also confirmed. They then sent an email the day before changing the delivery back to the original schedule but didn’t get my confirmation. As such I had changed my plans and could no longer accommodate the new time without significant difficulty. Would have appreciated a call or for them to wait for confirmation from m to change it. They’ve offered me £25 of my next delivery as compensation but did not acknowledge that they were at any fault for not waiting for me to confirm it was ok and just assuming I. Oils change my pans back (again) Have used them several times before with no problem. ### 1/5 — Worst experience ever *2023-09-28, version 12.18* Booked through airline Gold/Platinum and turns out there’s a convoluted sign-up process that took more 2hrs to run through. Having to wait outside in the cold and just told it will be another 2hrs. Nothing Luxury about this experience at all, just dodgy shortcuts. Management don’t carry phones apparently. ### 1/5 — Delivery Charge *2020-12-10, version 10.0* Just looked at this out of curiousity - they want an extra £350 to deliver to North Northumberland & the Scottish Borders. So basically if you want one in a part of the country you might actually need it or use it they’ll put their arm in you. ### 1/5 — Needs a value proposition reality check *2020-08-01, version 9.0* I think whoever put this together needs to do a price sensitivity and competitive analysis on their products. A weeks rental equals roughly the monthly lease of the same car with other flexible leasing/pay-per-mile type of solutions. It’s the cheapest and most plasticky SUV I have ever seen. LOL you must be kidding me!!! For £500 I can rent a real car such as a Porsche Macan S (£195 per day!) or a BMW not a poor-quality English product. I think the idea is great but I would not pay more than £50 per day for any of your cars. I booked a Range Rover sport for a wedding, I asked for specific trim which couldn’t be guaranteed which I understand but they cancel my booking with less than 24 hours notice! What kind of a company does that!? When they know I booked the car for a wedding! Now I’m stranded and don’t know how to take the groom to his venue! It’s a Land Rover defender, you can lease one for £400 per month. £750 excess is an ask too also. Fantastic company. Simple and good prices. Customer service always on hand if any issues arise. Only downside was the cars electric battery came empty but I was compensated for the issue. Quick and easy to sign up , also if you have any issues or want to upgrade anything the have a 24hr chat service which is very handy. Love the 4x4 they have to offer had the Range Rover autobiography which was just luxury. What I like most about this company is the drop and pick up service which saves a lot of time and less hassle. Brilliant for any occasion . I even recommended to may friends and also got something out of it. ;) got credit which was awesome!
