Plus, I’m using an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Progress on my solar panels hasn’t been updated since it’s up and running for 2 days now. Another solar app I use showed my progress instantly. No excuse. ### 2/5 — App problems *2026-05-24* I have had an alert for over 3 months. I have restarted the system many times. Now, the App does not show the daily generation. For some reason it displays yesterday’s generations. The app is becoming useless. ### 2/5 — When it works, it’s great. But. *2026-05-21, version 5.118.0* Never updates. Literally have to delete the app and add again/log in anew for it to update. Their customer service bots are generally ineffectual. Not a fan. ### 2/5 — Notifications do not work! *2026-01-02* My system has gone down twice for several days and the app has not sent notifications of a critical outage to me. All of my notifications are set up properly and I receive nothing from palmetto. My husband is having the same issue. This needs to be addressed as we have lost out on 2 weeks of solar due to not being notified that there was an issue. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-12-28, version 5.73.0* It wasn’t bad especially since my system hasn’t gone live yet. Yesterday went check any updates when it would be completed. It said update the app. I did and now the app doesn’t work at all! Very poor IT ### 1/5 — Garbage *2025-12-15* Double and triple check your auto pay. Signed up for it and it returned the payment without any notification then charged a late fee. Then when I’m told I have a late fee and have to pay extra for not having autopay, they tell me I am signed up for autopay. And yet I have to pay extra for not being signed up. The most frustrating thing I’ve had to deal with since mediacom. ### 1/5 — App Failing, Support Failing *2025-11-22* My account billing started in August 2025, but I still can’t see any solar production for the system. When I reach out to member services, they keep saying they’ll connect me with another department, yet nothing has been resolved. I’ve spent multiple hours on this with no outcome, and it’s extremely frustrating. ### 1/5 — No customer service *2025-07-03* I had this system installed. Four weeks after installation they have still not performed an inspection and signed off on the permit. I cannot contact a live representative to obtain an update on any statuses. Contact telephone numbers are no longer in service. This is the worse customer service that I have experienced for a long time. ### 1/5 — Horrible product *2024-04-17, version 4.61.1* They charged me $600 to replace a fuse. Now my system is broken again and assuming it will be $600 more. $600 every time they have to come to your home. Absolute ripoff as the system only lasted a year. ### 2/5 — App is lacking in so many ways *2024-04-15* When my system was installed, I was given the MySolarEdge app. This app is extraordinary compared to Palmetto. Now they’ve blocked access and will only let me use this app. Just a few quick issues. 1. The graphs don’t have labels. It’s hard to tell what a bar chart means without context 2. There is no view of current generation. You only see totals by hour. With the other app, I can see exactly what is coming in at any time 3. No ability to refresh the usage without choosing a different day, then coming back to today. This really isn’t a monitoring tool. ### 1/5 — Mr. williams *2023-11-15, version 4.61.1* First time app and system has worked in 2 years ### 1/5 — Zero customer service help once panels are installed *2023-09-08* The sales team and installation for my solar panels was excellent. My first bill was amazing. The rest were terrible and I have contacted the customer service department and finally after a MONTH got a work order placed. No response from the after installation team. No one answers the phone and the chat team tells me my system is fine. Yes my panels are working properly. My problem is between the inverter and meter. Expect great installation. Service and maintenance is horrible. ### 1/5 — Biggest scam yet *2023-08-31, version 4.61.1* This entire $40k system is the biggest scam yet people. Lied about everything, wiped out my savings and even though THEY breached the contract, will not refund my payed in full or honor the rebate. ### 1/5 — Bait and Switch? *2023-06-17, version 4.46.1* This app doesn’t have all the data that I was told I would get when I signed up (real time energy consumption as well as generation). Pretty sparse offerings in the app. But for the three things it does do (daily, weekly, and monthly usage) I guess it does it well. ### 1/5 — Terrible app and service *2023-05-24* Please Palmetto update your app. We will like to get more information on the productivity of the panels and frequent updates. I have to wait until the next day to know what my productivity of the previous days was. Yesterday, we had a lot of sun here in Houston and the app is saying only 0.5 KWH was generated. How is that possible? I was going to recommend Palmetto to a couple of my neighbors but I am asking them not touch you guys with a 10 ft pole. I am not saving any money from the installation of the solar panels. I pay $185 a month. I am supposed to generate 1,600 KWH a month to breakeven given my monthly payment. The highest amount of electricity I have generated with the panels is 1,300 KWH. Cannot find my billing statements. Want to change my payment method cannot even figure that out! Took over lease from existing home ownership worse experience ever trying to do that setup as well!! Is Palmetto trying to increase kid engagement on the parent’s app? Abd they don’t have connection with electricity providers?? Scam. ### 1/5 — The app is awful *2026-03-23* The app says that my system is working properly, however shows no production for over a week. I don’t know what is correct. Twice over the past few months the app said there was a problem with my system. Palmetto customer service was so slow in getting to the point of scheduling a site visit that my system resolved the problem on its own. As such, I don’t know if I have a system problem, an app problem or both. Next, have a pull down to refresh option on the current screen you’re looking at, having to switch to weekly and back to daily to refresh it is annoying. Also, the screenshots for the app show your household usage, yet I don’t get that. I asked support about it and they said they don’t offer that anymore. Are there plans to add this back? It would be great to see some development on this app, but it seems like they are just going to let it fall behind.
