## What is The Percentage Calculator (Discount Calculator)?

An easy to use app to calculate the percentage discount for a given amount or to find the percentage of one value relative to another.

For discount amount, enter the value and use the slider or simply enter the discount percentage to show both the new amount and discount amount.

Switch view using the tab to calculate the percentage of one value relative to another.

All calculated amounts are displayed rounded to two decimal places.

I know this is discount calculator but it would not hurt to add percentage plus. Instead I need another app for that specifically.

This is such a clear and user-friendly app (I use it mostly to calculate wine discounts in supermarkets!). The ONLY issue is that the ‘% Amount’ option says (e.g. on a bottle costing £7.99 with the new/reduced price being £6.25) ‘New amount is 73.65 % of original amount’ rather than ‘Discount is 23.35% of original amount’.
When I see 73.65% I then have to stand there trying to convert it in my head. This simply wouldn’t be necessary if it were only written the other way round!

A Great tool for marketing. For making retail and wholesale purchases and very simply find out who is offering the best deals without the hassle of going through all kinds of buttons and trying to look for the right one in a regular calculator.
