### 3/5 — What I like! What I Don’t

*2026-08-21*

The Picklr Facility in Newtown is first class. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. That’s what I like.
What I don’t like is that I can’t play when I want to play.
I like to play intermediate 10-12 M- W-F.
The problem is that it is fully booked a week or more in advanced. I end up playing outside because I can’t play when I want to play.
I would like to play 8 times a month but I rarely get the chance. This makes it a poor value for me.
I would play 12-2 but it is not available. The Management is considering a 12-2 Low Intermediate but it has not happened yet.
Ironically, the club is over packed between 10-12 and then mostly empty after that.
The big question from my perspective comes down to why can’t I come and play when I want to play?
If all courts are packed then add an adjoining time frame like 12-2 to hopefully relieve some of the demand of 10-12.
Thanks for your consideration. The Club is great except for this really Big problem.

### 2/5 — Rarely works

*2026-04-20*

If you click on one of your sessions you’re waitlisted for, you are often taken to the next session you’re actually signed up for. I have reported being unable to sign up for sessions multiple times and always “The manager will call”. I get taken off the waitlist with no notifications despite them being turned on. It’s impossible to figure out how to take yourself off a waitlist.

### 2/5 — Poor Experience & Crashes

*2026-04-11, version 4.1.0*

This app is overly complex and constantly crashes

### 3/5 — Hit and miss

*2026-03-12*

Sometimes it works well and booking a program is easy. Other times you can’t sign in, or viewing a session roster brings up a a completely different session roster, or the app adds a bunch of locations to your favorites and you end up spending time removing them manually, or random locations are added so you reserve a week in advance at the wrong location and can’t play at your home location. They should allow you to lock favorites so this stops happening.

### 3/5 — Waitlist poor

*2026-03-10, version 4.0.2*

Ok app. Waitlist functionality should be completely re-worked as it’s currently awful.

### 3/5 — The UI makes no sense

*2026-03-02*

This app needs a major overhaul.

- The main screen is cluttered and is not intuitive to follow.
- To view the calendar, you get a massive grid that you have to scroll ACROSS to track. A list view, with the ability to filter out skill level would make this so much easier to navigate.
- When you want to read the details of an event, you can only scroll so much. You have to release your finger to keep scrolling.
- Why can’t we get app notifications when a waitlist spot becomes available? And even when you click the in your email, it takes you to the mobile web version — not the app. Thus needing to re-login. (While on this topic, magic link button doesn’t work. Nothing happens.)

I hope the Product or UX team sees this!

### 2/5 — 4.0.2 QR code is hidden

*2026-02-24, version 4.0.2*

v4.0.2 will hide the QR code on the main screen on app restart. No other way to show QR for facility registration. Restarted, reinstalled app, no change. iOS 26.2.1.

Glad to send screenshots and more info to team but the App Feedback option is disabled.

### 2/5 — Keeps crashing

*2026-02-17, version 3.3.2*

App keeps crashing when you click on details for a session you are registered for.

### 2/5 — Buggy App

*2026-01-30*

For the last week, the app keeps closing by itself and returning me to my phones home screen. Sometimes, I can see a session I’m signed up for, but the app crashes out when I select ‘view roster’. Tried turning phone on and off. Tried uninstalling and installing app. Tried updating to the latest IOS 26.2.1 tv Help!

### 2/5 — super slow app compared to competitors

*2026-01-14*

Lately The Picklr iOS app has been running super slow on my iPhone 17 iOS v26.1. Please fix!

During the daytime, I’ve noticed that most courts are often empty, likely reflecting traditional office hours. If you’re hoping for a game during the day, be prepared for a quieter experience. However, evening bookings tend to fill up quickly, so planning ahead is crucial. Think of The Picklr like a gym; while it aims to sell unlimited memberships, it thrives on player engagement. An empty court is no fun for anyone.

•Suggested Features

While the app excels in performance, there are a couple of features that I believe would significantly enhance the user experience:

1. Calendar Integration: It would be fantastic to have the option to add bookings directly to my calendar, akin to the functionality offered by the PodPlay app. This feature would ensure I receive reminders for my future bookings, making scheduling much easier.

2. Account Management: I’d also appreciate the ability to unlink my DUPR account independently, without needing to reach out to tech support. This would streamline the user experience further. PodPlay has this feature.

In conclusion, The Picklr is a user-friendly app that performs well, and with these enhancements, it could be even better. Highly recommended for pickleball enthusiasts!

### 3/5 — Inconsistent after installing IOS 26

*2025-12-13*

I have been using this app on my phone and iPad for about 5 months without problems until recently. Since I upgraded both iPhone and iPad to IOS 26, I have had problems with the app loading correctly when I am on my WiFi network at home. It works fine on cellular and mostly fine with other WIFI networks, but works only occasionally on my home WIFI. I have been through every permutation of reinstalling the app, reinstalling the network, working with Eero support (my router/mesh) and my ISP’s support. I think it is likely some combination of IOS 26/wifi/Picklr compatibility. Hopefully the developers will work this out soon.

### 2/5 — Latest update keeps crashing

*2025-12-05*

This app keeps crashing after 10 to 20 seconds. It’s happening on multiple devices so whatever they tried to fix it’s not working. It used to be pretty good.

### 2/5 — User experience for booking could be a lot better

*2025-09-11*

Least favorite thing about the app is I select a day and time I want to book and tap “book this open play” and then what happens next? I see a grid showing 50 different days and times and I have to scroll to the day and time I already picked in the last step to actually book it.
Also: it’s completely unclear to me how to clear out the red “unassigned packages” / “unassigned sessions”

### 2/5 — A really bad app that will never get fixed

*2025-08-03*

If people knew how bad this app was before they signed up, The Picklr would fix it because it’s suckiness would affect their sales.

But no, why would you look at the app rating before signing up. The app is on version 3, if they were going to fix it, it would be fixed.

Here is how bad it is: If you are in the calendar view, and select a session you want to sign up for 7 days out, it drops you into the category of that session (let’s say social PB 3.5-4.0), listing all of the sessions from today until 7 days out, so you have to remember what date and time you tapped, scroll and scroll until you get to it again and then drill down, and click reserve or whatever. IT NOW DROPS YOU INTO ANOTHER CALENDAR LISTING WHERE YOU AGAIN MUST GO AND FIND THE DATE AND TIME AGAIN!

Cory Doctorow describes why everything stinks like this in his en$ħîťification of the internet thesis. Sad!

### 2/5 — Membership and reservations

*2025-03-25*

The app is better than other pickleball places I have been to. Pretty easy to book a court and add friends to your list. However, two major flaws that the app has is with membership and canceling reserved courts.
It is impossible to cancel membership or pause membership through the app, you either have to call or go in to cancel.
When you reserve a court you are unable to make changes to the reservation if something comes up. Can’t change the time or cancel the reservation.

### 3/5 — Glitchy app

*2025-03-24, version 3.0.20*

Love the convenience of this app when it works. But the glitchy setbacks are a buzz kill

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wack app

*2026-04-25, version 4.1.1*

Terrible UI to try to find and sign up for open plays and group plays. Super confusing layouts. In addition, it doesn’t have the most basic capability you would want, which is to message other members at your club to set up group play. Instead, we have to use Swish to keep score for round robins and then use Teamreach, but wait only the club can message members on teamreach. Seriously, that might as well be social media since that’s the only use for it.

Pickleball is supposed to be about community, so I’m paying a monthly fee for something that gives me less access than just having a WhatsApp group with the local public park.

Picklr needs to rethink this approach. Also, why would they be ok with members needing 3 different apps.thats just a poor user experience.

If I could set up group play with other members, I’d happily pay the high monthly membership, but with the constraints I’m not sure I’ll stick around and I’m hearing the same from other members for the club that just opened a week ago.

### 1/5 — Need this to sign the waiver

*2026-03-13, version 4.0.2*

Bro how can you make me create an account to sign a waiver for this. Very dumb.

### 1/5 — There’s gotta be a better way right?

*2026-02-25, version 4.0.2*

This app performance is really bad.
If you are using an agency to build this app for you, you might change to a different one. The new UI/UX is terrible too

### 1/5 — Never loads

*2026-02-07, version 3.3.2*

The app never loads. I have deleted and re added the app many times. If it does open it takes forever.

### 1/5 — Glitchy and more glitchy

*2026-02-02*

Please fix the glitch on IOS app. From the last update, every time you try to look at details of the sessions you’ve selected, e.g. who is on the roster the app closes. It’s been about a week and still no fixes.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2026-01-11, version 3.2.3*

Every time I open a scheduled event, system crashes and exits. Restarted phone and didn’t fix. Doesn’t seem to be any end user support to submit issue.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2025-12-03*

Every time I open a scheduled event, system crashes and exits. Restarted phone and didn’t fix. Doesn’t seem to be any end user support to submit issue.

### 1/5 — No Apple pay?

*2025-11-06, version 3.1.2*

It’s 2025

### 1/5 — Lousy App

*2025-08-04*

App has no ability to send text messages for club notifications. App shows that it can send texts and even allows the user to request text messages for notifications and turn it on and off in settings. But it doesn’t work by intentional design. Very deceptive by the developers, just be upfront and remove the ‘receive texts’ option!

### 1/5 — Waiver only on the app

*2025-05-17, version 3.0.26*

Come on, the only way to sign the waiver is downloading an app??? Not even a printout. Ridiculous

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The Picklr App

*2025-10-31, version 3.1.2*

I like this app. Easy to use. It is ready to sign up fire leagues.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-03-13, version 3.0.20*

Love this app and the facilities. So easy to book and manage my reservations.

### 5/5 — Amazing App and Club

*2025-01-30, version 3.0.20*

Best club!

### 5/5 — Bye bye wind, heat and cold!

*2023-12-12*

I played at the picklr for the first time in July of 2023. I had a pickleball group that played outdoors but the group would die every season when it got too hot or too cold. Now we can play year round no matter the weather. We love it! Picklr staff and facilities are top notch. Cant wait for the locations in Vegas to open.

### 5/5 — Picklr Rocks

*2023-11-15, version 2.0.33*

This app and this facility in Uintah are awesome. It’s amazing how much this place provides beyond just access to indoor courts!

### 5/5 — Picklr

*2023-08-10*

I joined the picklr over a month ago . The staff has been more then courageous and extremely helpful in suiting my needs . I would recommend to everyone!!

### 5/5 — Great pickleball

*2023-07-27, version 2.0.31*

Great franchise, fun tournaments, love playing here!

### 4/5 — features requested

*2025-10-08*

The Picklr iOS app is a solid choice for anyone looking for a smooth and stable experience. I've been using it for a while, and I haven't encountered any crashes.

### 4/5 — Works, But….

*2025-08-04, version 3.0.30*

Can you resolve why Picklr is not connecting to DUPR? The “Oops…” error message came up. Tx.

### 4/5 — Great app with one request

*2024-09-26*

This is a great app and is very user friendly. Only request would be if you could add a button to add your bookings to either your Google calendar or Apple iCal calendar on your phone with link for directions to whichever Picklr you booked at.
