No option to use biometrics. No ability to hide online status. Says my computer is out of date they should be able to make it work with anything. The problem has existed since they started using this app six months or more ago. Both The Planetary Society and Mighty Networks have been working on this issue for months without success. Apparently it’s a known problem that affects a smallish percentage of people. Nevertheless, it’s a very poor experience and makes me want to delete the app and not interact with TPS. This is horrible. ### 1/5 — Great organization, no app transparency or privacy info *2023-04-08* I'm a longtime member of The Planetary Society, so I was really looking forward to this new Community app. I was going to download it, but I'm a concerned by the amount of personally identifiable information the app collects, and I'm very concerned that the Mighty Software, Inc. privacy page will not load so we can see what information they actually collect. Another review complains about "no free tier", but you can get plenty of free info by subscribing to their newsletters through the website. The Planetary Society itself is trying to raise money for space missions so OBVIOUSLY there have to be paid tiers to support that, and you can join for as little as 4$/month or $50 for a year (I'm not rich and that's totally reasonable). I'll move on to the app now! There is a great foundation here with room for improvement once there's a larger community. You can easily follow people and see updates, comment/cheer like most social networks, and watch live events as well as getting notified about them. The only thing lacking right now are members, but this app is still pretty new. I highly recommend heading to planetary.org to sign up, there are cool perks and it's great to know you're contributing to new science and research. Can't wait to see where this app goes in the future! ### 5/5 — Wow! *2023-03-11, version 8.99.4* I am really impressed by this app. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but honestly didn’t think it would be this good. They have knocked it out of the park with this app. It has everything, but is so well organized that it’s not overwhelming, and it’s really easy to navigate and use. Smooth, intuitive, and engaging. A really great on-boarding experience too.
