### 2/5 — Very difficult to use

*2025-11-20, version 6.1.1*

I used to read the SU sports news daily on my iPhone from the Post Standard until something changed about 6 months ago. Now it is difficult to do everything. 5 minutes to log in, difficult to get to sports news, looses connection frequently. I now use more reliable sites to get SU sports news daily.

### 2/5 — Paper print

*2025-08-16, version 6.1.0*

I don’t like reading the paper on line. I like sitting with my coffee and reading a printed paper. Wish I could still get that more than 3 days a week.

### 2/5 — Lop sided

*2025-06-09, version 6.1.0*

Have been a reader for decades. Syracuse Post-Standard when owned by Rodger’s Family, published a fair and and newsworthy paper. Journalists as David Case and Sean Kirst wrote excellent articles, there was an editorial staff that held corrupt government officials accountable.
Since Washington Post acquisition all of this has changed to a far left sided content, with majority of printed material from WAPO journalists, and other left sided media, with an agenda far from honest and fair. The editorial staff rarely appear, and fail terribly to hold Politicians accountable. Example are the editorials about the CORRUPT AND ABUSIVE CUOMO administration, as well as a CONGRESS, EDITORIALS I believe tepid and weak in tone at best.
A newspaper that fails its readers in honesty, integrity and quality.

### 4/5 — Difficult signing in on the iPad

*2025-02-25, version 6.0.0*

Password for iPad not working

### 2/5 — Can't navigate by section

*2025-02-09, version 6.0.0*

If a reader wants to skip around from section to section of the edition, it's not possible. All one can do is scroll through a page at a time. Come on! It's one of the most basic features a reader could ask for. And it keeps me from reading things I would otherwise read, losing you my eyeballs on your ads.

### 2/5 — Issues

*2025-01-29, version 6.0.0*

1. Unable to enlarge font size.
2. No table of contents, must scroll through pages.
3. Still must enlarge articles.

### 1/5 — Crosswords

*2025-01-20, version 6.0.0*

I am no longer able to print a crush orange, which I’ve been doing for the last 15 years

### 2/5 — Inconvenient format

*2025-01-20, version 6.0.0*

The new layout is not as easy to use. I don’t like that you can’t shrink the page smaller than full page width to allow seeing the entire page, width and length. I also do not like the removal of the progress bar across. The upgrade to load automatically rather than having to select the preview is a positive.

### 1/5 — Unhappy Reader

*2025-01-19, version 6.0.0*

New format TERRIBLE - Go back to old!

### 1/5 — New format

*2025-01-19, version 6.0.0*

We both hate the new update. The old format was much more user friendly and easier to navigate. Also the page no longer fits top to bottom on the vertical iPad

### 1/5 — New format

*2025-01-17, version 6.0.0*

I don’t know why you had to go and change it, but it is awful. Unless you make some correction, we will be canceling our subscription.

### 1/5 — Don’t use this

*2025-01-16, version 6.0.0*

This new version was obviously not tested by readers. You can no longer adjust the screen size so you see the full page without scrolling.

### 1/5 — The NEW “IMPROVED” Version

*2025-01-15, version 6.0.0*

PLEASE LET ME GO BACK TO THE OLD , AND BETTER VERSION!! This new thing is way too difficult to use. I gave up after trying to navigate it. If I am to be stuck with this version I will cancel faster than you can say JACK RABBIT,

### 1/5 — What??

*2023-11-09, version 4.0.3*

Why is becoming a PS subscriber to hard!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unable to get newspaper on my iPad

*2025-09-02, version 6.1.1*

My payment is currently active but editions section will not appear, This is incredibly frustrating!

### 1/5 — Payment

*2025-05-18, version 6.0.0*

Most terrible page to get around!!!!!

### 1/5 — Daily crosswords and Sunday samurai sudoku

*2025-03-10, version 6.0.0*

Our family is disappointed that as of 3/9/25 you no longer have the daily crosswords other than The NY Times and LA times which are often too difficult. We also enjoyed the Sunday samurai sudoku which appear to have been removed from your digital version.
Please bring them back!!!!🙏🏻

### 1/5 — .com

*2025-03-10, version 6.0.0*

Paid for Syracuse.com but can’t get in. Help desk not helpful

### 1/5 — Post Standard App

*2025-01-25, version 6.0.0*

It is no longer enjoyable to thumb through every morning and easy. Whatever you did to “upgrade” it recently has caused the paging to keep automatically go back to page 1, or locking into reversing back to the previous page with no way to advance pages other than to close and start over. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-01-24, version 6.0.0*

It is very difficult to read the Post Standard and/or Syracuse.com. The PS app does not respond to commands. Articles I’ve read appear in the PS several days later. It is no longer a CNY newspaper now that it is printed in another state. The local news consists of the local obituaries. Sad state of affairs.

### 1/5 — New online paper

*2025-01-23, version 6.0.0*

It’s terrible. It comes out gigantic on my iPad and then freezes so I can’t do anything with it. Definitely not better

### 1/5 — New App Format

*2025-01-22, version 6.0.0*

The new format is hard to read. I used to just jump to the sports page and now it’s difficult to navigate the pages.

### 1/5 — Locked out

*2025-01-22, version 6.0.0*

I've been trying to get in touch with someone for a week to get my account reestablished with no response.
Can make up a nickname that's not already taken!

### 1/5 — New web paper

*2025-01-20, version 6.0.0*

Horrible layout, tough to use!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Still ENJOY

*2025-06-14, version 6.1.0*

I still enjoy the PS everyday since my delivery days(66 years ago).

### 5/5 — At least

*2025-05-04, version 6.0.0*

Well they can’t deliver their hard copy BUT the digital copy is there ALWAYS. But I hate to read the newspaper on my phone!!! So I only read headlines and look at things that interest me!!

### 5/5 — Where did it go?

*2025-04-15, version 6.0.0*

Not liking the new format as you eliminated the Sunday Teleword puzzle. The comics are on super overload with too many so I page through which is cumbersome at best using the app.

I’m disappointed overall plus the proofreading seems to be lacking as there are numerous spelling errors on a regular basis.

Please try to improve the Post Standard as it can be a stand out newspaper worth saving.

Just Concerned, thanks.

### 5/5 — Easy to read and follow

*2025-02-19, version 6.0.0*

The Post Standard is one of the best local newspapers. Your investigative reporting is your strength. I am always impressed by the digging your reporters do; they are good enough for one of the big papers. We are lucky to have this paper. Thanks. Jan Clausen.

### 5/5 — Don’t like new digital lay out.

*2025-01-18, version 6.0.0*

I hate the new format . The print is not larger , you still have to enlarge the page , Then sometimes you are opening an article you didn’t intend to read , If you forget to scroll down you miss that content , It used to tell you how many pages there were , not sure when you are at the end , And the obituary columns are annoying . They should be alphabetized straight down the columns, right to left . You keep calling me to go all digital , I still get Sunday paper . I enjoy the puzzle pages , so maybe you could make them interactive somehow ,

### 5/5 — Easy to read and follow

*2023-08-21*

The Post Standard is the standard for a local paper. Good articles and they actually do local investigation, good local reporting. I’m always amazed at how lucky we are to have this paper.

### 5/5 — Love this paper!

*2023-07-02, version 4.0.1*

Haven’t found a better paper since we moved from central New York. Best for national news and editorials as well as the local news we can relate to.

### 5/5 — Long Time Involvement

*2023-05-03*

I have read the Post-Standard for Sixty-five years since I was a paper boy in 1958. It has been a part of my routine to read the papers from front to back on a daily basis. It has become a part of my daily activities like my morning coffee. Along the way it has changed for the better to where it is today. I enjoy it and it is a very important part of my life.

### 5/5 — Post Standard

*2023-04-29, version 4.0.0*

Love my morning paper with a cup of coffee. It is my morning ritual.

### 5/5 — Where are the games

*2023-04-21, version 4.0.0*

The update has no apparent improvement. And I can’t Find the games. WHERE ARE THEY1
