Because it's set in a different world there are many more graphics and monsters that make it feel very new and original. A host of regular characters can also be found, meaning nice continuity for those that have played earlier adventures. This latest game has over fifty quests and loads of the usual secrets and puzzles. So you should get hours of gameplay. There is also a lot more very powerful gear. And a few novel features, such as a new way to easily high level enchant, and a cool new way to travel between two towns. If you loved the previous The Quest games, or you're a fan of classic, story-driven RPGs, you will really enjoy Escape From Asteroids. ### 5/5 — Excellent expansion with a twist! *2010-05-09* The new SF storyline with with the Quest engine shows how versatile and delightful this platform continues to be. I love this RPG - it's creative, totally immersive, addictive, beautifully drawn - the monsters are cool - and just a lot of fun. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the Devs go and toss us another great expansion pack. Now this is what developer support should be like. How old is the original Quest game now? Yet we are still getting updates, fixes and expansion packs. EA, Gameloft, Squarenix, etc please take notes and emulate these guys. This is partly why The Quest will always have their customer's undying loyalty and support. 5 stars doesn't do this game justice. It's completely new and space themed. It has an awesome story and beautiful design/layout. Anyone would love this game if they are fans of The Quest already or if they are new players. Come to discover that the challenge was too difficult and if you abort too soon you can get locked out. My bad. Originally I rated this a "1" caused I thought the expansion did not work correctly. After several email exchanges with the developers, they made the decision to change the challenge requirements so we lazy dungeoneers stand a better chance of exploring the expansion. Many thanks to catacomber ... Though I have yet to play the expansion, I am going to give this one "5 stars" ... I wanted to add ... I am playing this entire series of quest games on an iPad ... At first thought I was experiencing stability problems with the apps ... Come to realize it has more to do with the memory on an iPad and nothing to do with the apps. Sometimes you just need to cold start the iPad ... Or in today's terms.
