It is an amazing game that really has a lot of depth that may not be apparent at first. Keep in mind that this not a console game but on older game style. But very enjoyable. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not as funny or fun as it thinks it is. *2013-03-14* I love The Quest. It is vast, open, and well-realized. It is a fantasy world of colorful characters written with consistency and style. This expansion, on the other hand, is a garish, uneven, and silly in a stupid, unprofessional way. The writing is broad, constantly breaking the fourth wall and attempting humor that falls completely flat. The environments feel forced and internally inconsistent. You routinely are corralled into situations with no warning or context. Wake up in an abandoned prison cell surrounded by 5K+ armor and weapons items. Knock on a door and instantly become a criminal. Knock on another door and receive a one-time chance to purchase a medical license (?) for 3K. Touch an idol and suddenly a robber gives you 1K. Did I mention that there are quests based around three blind mice? Or that the starting area is a steam bath and inn named Dante's Inferno? Or that seemingly every piece of land is littered with potions, keys, and weapons just scattered on the ground for your taking? Or that the massive imbalance and ridiculousness of this all serves to cheapen the main game's setting and provides items that completely break the balance of the main game? I'm not only sorry I bought Cursed Chess Set, I'm deleting it from my copy of The Quest Gold and pretending that I never saw it. ### 1/5 — An sich gut, aber... *2010-11-15* Ich habe bereits the Quest gespielt, und es hat mir gut gefallen. Dieser Teil ist auch gut gelungen, aber einige sachen ziehen die Bewertung leider von 5 auf 2 Sterne runter: 1. Wenn man ein Item einsammelt, und später wiederkommt ist das item wieder da(bei loot ist das zum Glück nicht so), es sei denn dieses Item war eine Pflanze. Dann ist es nicht da. Umgekehrt wäre es viel logischer, das wird warscheinlich ein Bug sein. 2. Im originalspiel droppen die moster normalerweise zwischen 10 und 600 Gold. Hier droppen die mal so ohne weiteres 20k! 3. Man bekommt gleich zu Beginn einige Imba-Items geschenkt. 4. Ich habe für eine nicht besonders schwere Quest 100k ep bekommen! 5. Items sind teilweise total bescheuert und Rp-Mäßig unlogisch platziert(mitten in der Stadt liegt ein Haufen gold (zum glück keine 20k), daneben ein köcher mit Pfeilen und ein paar Meter weiter ein Zauberbuch) 6. Man klopft nichtsahnend an eine Tür und im nächsten Moment landet man im Gefängnis, und findet beim ausbruch ein paar mächtige items, die man aber nicht benutzen kann weil man wie gesagt gleich am Anfang noch mächtigere geschenkt bekommt. ### 1/5 — Booooring *2010-08-30* This is a boring app and a waste of money. ### 2/5 — Lame *2011-08-31* Its lame no matter who u are magic is the all powerfull. especialy if u got no intel and its all in str and end. The team seemed to make this game with a sense of humour as the quests and characters are rather silly. There are a few difficult areas but it's mainly a breeze if you've played any of the other versions. This game seems best if you build a character to about 5th level in the main game, come here, get some goodies, go back to Freymore and own it, then come back here. Once that is done, you will have the strength to take on Ice and Fire and the Luckomorye series.
