With my iPhone 17, I can no longer build a shopping cart or send the recipes to friends. What’s going on? ### 2/5 — Clunky app *2026-07-19, version 7.0.7* I have used this app for years on my iPhone. For the most part, it works well except for clearing pantry items. I often find that they pop back up after I have cleared them. I can live with that, but what is really inconvenient is not being able to sync between my iPhone and my iPad. When I download the app onto my iPad, I was only able to get some of my recipes transferred, and same thing when I add recipes on my iPad - they do not transfer to my phone. Would love to figure that out because I don’t want to have to take my iPad to the grocery store when buying ingredients. A couple of things that are a huge hassle: sometimes you can share it with another person and have the transfer work, and sometimes it doesn’t work no matter what you do. Another huge annoyance is that they took away the ability to easily text a recipe to a friend. That feature literally just disappeared. Somewhere in one of the updates we lost the capability of saving how we want to view our recipes when we first open up the app. It opens in alphabetical order. Use it all the time. After the IOS 26 update and the Recipe App update 7.0.2, the App doesn’t open, it stays stuck with the picture of the bouncing berry. No I don’t have FB, it’s frustrating not being able to access support. I love the import feature the most. No more saving screenshots or writing down recipes. I have my family rate every recipe on the 1-5 raspberry scale so I know which are keepers and which are duds. The built-in timer feature is also a plus. Support has always been responsive and polite the couple of times I’ve needed it.
