It all ruins the game experience. ### 2/5 — Man..... *2019-01-11* I hoped it wasn’t as bad as the reviews, but I’m stuck... can’t put the puppet together, can’t light the burners... hint takes me to either place and then tells me to go back.... stage to lab, stage to lab and can’t do anything.... I love your games.. please get this fixed!!! Thank you. ### 2/5 — Issues *2019-01-02* I haven’t had too many glitches on my end except it sometimes won’t let me click on something that I know I need to pick up or sometimes it won’t let me pick up coins. My issue is that when I know I need something or to do something, I would like some sort of hint as to what I need. For example, when trying to do the elixir. It would have been helpful if I clicked on it and it said something about needing fruit or needing a light or whatever. Instead, I find myself using the hint and that sometimes just takes me to the map which is also not very helpful. I have been very frustrated with this game and I never get frustrated with these types of games, no matter how hard. Also sometimes when I try to use the correct item on what it is meant for I will get a “that’s not right” message and then click on the hint for it to show me that I was right but not getting it in the exact spot that the developers decided it should be so you have to me super exact **Developer response:** The new update is out now! Have a nice game! ### 3/5 — I would give this game a 3 1/2, but.... *2019-01-01* I really love action adventure HOS games, however, this game is very glitchy. There were some areas where you weren’t able to pick up the coins. Another thing I noticed was that I had completed A LOT, if not ALL of the tasks, and the game failed to mark me as completing them. I will finish the game, but until the glitches are fixed, I don’t feel comfortable about giving a full five stars. I think I’ll leave this one on the back burner until the glitches are fixed. **Developer response:** Glitches are now fixed and you can try this game to feel much more joy. Please try an updated game and write us what you think! ### 2/5 — Very Glitchy *2018-12-30* This is very hard to explain. So I first opened the game and started playing and I really liked it but as soon as I got to the healing elixir part it got glitchy. I do admit that I did the order wrong I put the orange and the elixir in the vinyls, then Lit it when it was supposed to be the other way around. It wouldn’t let me do anything past then I could go in all the rooms and do other things but it wouldn’t let me continue I couldn’t click on certain things. I looked in in the guide and the things that I should’ve been able to do I couldn’t have done. So I started a new game but all of the stuff that I did in the previous game was kind of still there for example in the room with the vile and you’re supposed to light it and add the flower petals in the coin that was already lit and there was already liquid in the bile I couldn’t do anything with it because it was already done and I couldn’t pick it up I can’t play anymore and I hope this gets fixed Update: After waiting a day got pants the part of making he healing elixir but as soon as I got to new HOS things went south again. The items that it wanted me to find weren’t in the scene, I even used a hint and it didn’t show me. I found out that the items that I could not find in the previous HOS are in another one. **Developer response:** Hello! Thank you for your feedback. A point and click adventure that often doesn’t register where you’re pointing and clicking. It isn’t my screen responsiveness either. I can pinch in and out of a scene but just can’t pick up or zoom in on what I’m supposed to when I tap it; coins, puzzles, scenes with people, whatever. I’ve checked I’m on the right things using the hint button and, yes, I’m doing the right thing but the game’s response is “sorry, won’t let you have it”. Deciding at random that you can’t have the thing you need to progress means it pretty much falls at the first hurdle for a point and click adventure. At the moment I can’t give the game a full review because to progress in the game any further it seems I have to give a cure to a sick man lying in bed. On my screen I can see the cure in my inventory and the man lying in bed. There’s a gold ‘twinkle’ effect inviting me to select him, when I press the ‘hint’ button, he’s encircled with a green haze telling me to select him, and I’m pressing right in the centre of it trying to select him. Again. All in vain, alas. I don’t want my money to be wasted (I don’t think I’ll preorder again) so please sort this out. Otherwise, the game looks very nice, graphics are great, although music is pretty thin on the ground but that doesn’t bother me much. What does is the large jiggling arrows on the screen in every scene, pointing to where you can advance or retreat. It completely seperates you from the scene and stops you feeling involved in what’s going on by exaggerating the fact that you’re just in a game, if you see what I mean. In theatre it would be called breaking the fourth wall too often. This does it on every screen and you can’t turn it off. There’s a reason why other point and click adventures don’t have big arrows all over the place; please allow us to get rid of them. So difficult to follow, the screen needs to be moved up and down each scene. Perhaps it is due to my iPhone X? That would be manageable if it wasn’t so maddening to complete things. Hints take you to places that you can’t complete things (the colored bottles, puppet, etc. I deleted it after fumbling around for too long. So i go to the tree and there is no fruit but a glint so apply the syringe to the glint and nothing. It will not let me extract the juice. This is the second time that I have tried to play this game. The first time it was an ho scene where a needed object was hidden behind the list. Come on - these games are not cheap. This one was released on a PC 6 years ago. I am only half way through this and once again can not finish. Witches Pranks has such beautiful graphics and was fun to play a different style of hoag, and so was this one. We will be happy to investigate and fix the issue. ### 3/5 — Apothecarium *2020-04-25, version 1.0.28* This game has lots of bugs in it, I had to start the game over numerous times as there were lots of times you couldn’t pick up or you would lose them or they wouldn’t work at all... some of the games I couldn’t play and also the HOG’s. In the version I played IOS iPhone (so not sure if it’s made for that platform) I couldn’t play the trunk puzzles. However, I’ve found the map and hints sometimes point you to areas where more is needed before completing a task, leading to frustration and confusion. Not all puzzles have good instructions which meant I felt the need to skip to proceed. Простите за неудобства, снова. ### 3/5 — Good Game That Should Have Been So Much Better!!! *2019-01-26* I was really looking forward to playing this game especially since the PC version was an original Big Fish game and since the company’s buy out there’s been no new HOAG here in the App Store. However the game was plagued with so many issues including a faulty hint system that continued sending me to the map where there was no exclamation points showing where to go or what to do next, a ball in a maze mini game where the first two button’s don’t close the right trap doors to continue on the first pink path shown in the strategy guide and I collected a bunch of coins that I have no idea what I’m supposed to do with, just to name a couple of problems.
