Love how everything connects together. I also appreciate how they really encourage you to not use hints. I often find myself going straight for a hint in puzzle games the moment I’m stuck, but this one truly wants you to discover it for yourself, and I always do!! Makes me feel great and accomplished. Such awesome quality of life upgrades 10/10 ### 4/5 — Excellent with one glaring flaw *2025-03-05* Booted this up the second I finished “Case of” and was immediately taken aback by the change in tone. I had no problem with the time skip, or any of the UI changes, or even with the cleaned up look, which I don’t prefer but makes sense with the 20th century setting. What really drove me crazy was the sound effects straight out of a free-to-play puzzle game. I solved my first two grizzly murders and the game essentially went TA-DAAAAH! YOU DID IT! and it took me all the way out of it. Thankfully, the sfx can be turned all the way off in the settings, and the beautiful score gets a chance to shine and bring you all the way back into a great game that lives up to its predecessor. **Developer response:** Hey Sid Vacuous! Despite retaining all my achievements in the game, I can’t even move forward with finishing the game because it’s broken and restarting the app won’t even work. Game basically becomes a screensaver. Don't waste your time, I haven't seen any updates for the app and if it's anything like other Netflix games, there is zero to no support. ### 1/5 — Game-Breaking Bug *2024-11-16* Having enjoyed its predecessor, I was eager to try out the sequel. After a couple of hours in, I put the game down for the night having nearly completed Chapter 2. When I returned the next morning, my progress was erased and I was completely locked out of advancing any further. This is the exact same bug another player referenced in their review. I reached out to Netflix support and an agent said I’d receive an e-mail from someone on the tech team. The pictures of the characters can get overwritten by players if they have already selected another picture…leading to it being impossible to solve the clue/puzzle. Also all the scenes become inaccessible save for the Garden scene. After restarting, Chapter 2 only shows first section and is locked from progressing.
