I do not recommend it, with the cost of the app you’re better off just buying a physical remote. The commercials come on and are 10X LOUDER than the show I’m watching. It’s like the tv is on full volume. My neighbor heard it in the apartment next door. So I remembered that I had purchased the Roku remote while staying in Seattle for a while. It was so handy right on my telephone. I don’t have to look for it anymore.
