I have played The Room 3 multiple times with the varied endings, and now this masterpiece. I have recently gotton a VR headset with The Room VR: A Dark Matter. That game so far is addictive, and I am excited to see ehat puzzles and thrills are in store. I have heard about another game called Ghost Town by Fireproof games, and I hear it is incredible. The puzzles in the Room series are always fun, imagineative, and sometimes a pain. The only one I haven’t played yet is the VR game “A Dark Matter” but I have beaten all four other games multiple times now. This series is amazing and I am begging for a continuation so we can see more of the null planet from 3 or other characters’ POV. (Perhaps A.S. before his death, Margaret before her imprisonment, or even Abigail’s escape of Waldegrave manor and how she trapped the null within the dollhouse?) All I know is this is one of, if not my absolute, favorite game series. Good story and amazing realisation, very smooth and hellish difficult!! ### 4/5 — Interesting entry *2026-05-15, version 1.0.4* I was a bit concerned coming into the fourth entry because I have read some optimization problems of the UI not cooperating due to not being able to fit into the screen that my iPhone resolution can bring. There’s also some bugs and glitches that I’ve heard that made me wait it out for many years (also due to personal life). Thankfully, coming into this entry many years later…all of the issues have been resolved. The puzzles are a bit more lenient this time around and those that wanted a more linear experience will feel right at home. The atmosphere of Room universe remain great as ever and the music is sublime as usual. I will say I do have to agree with the reviews saying that the Art World is pretty short…not sure if there’s was a sense of development issues in the last stretches, but at least the overall gameplay remains pretty consistently solid. The ending definitely feels like an interesting loophole that could potentially open the loophole if the developer wishes to continue this franchise. If not, that’s also fine as I got great games that I have offloaded to come back to another time. So yeah, if you wanted more of what the original Room games with a bit more of the third game added into the mix…then this is the game for you. Cost is a tad more expensive, but all four games cost less than $20 overall and is a great indie series.Looking forward to what Fireproof has to offer in the near future! The graphics are well designed and thought out, and the rooms themselves are so very creative. I started playing the first series thinking I’ll play it a little while until I’m bored with, but with this game you never get bored. I’ve had to use the hint way too many times for this one. Other ones were amazing. I deleted it after it started glitching for a mechanically stupid puzzle with demon heads. Just started spinning non stop after a while because it makes no sense to solve the way I’m supposed to. Wish I could get my money back for the most expensive but worst one! The graphics, intrigue and challenges for all Room episodes are carefully balanced to create enough frustration to have to put it down, think about it, then need to pick it up again. The high variety of complication associated with resolving stages, relieves a stressed mind as it takes concentration, observation and mood to get through them. The challenge for the developers is to be as innovative, each time, to make the next edition as interesting and challenging without being impossible. Please do some more! As an avid puzzler and a lover of sci-fi, these games are a wonderful way to spend my evenings. I have purchased and played the entire series in order and I have thoroughly enjoyed the progression and captivating stories and challenges they bring. They get gradually more developed and detailed and it is well worth playing them in order to experience the evolution of gameplay. I am currently working my way through this latest instalment and it’s a joy to play. Can’t recommend it enough. I hope they keep releasing them. 5 stars for all of them.
