## What is The Set List?

The Set List is the gift registry app for LEGO fans. Create your wishlist, share it with friends and family, and never get a duplicate set again.

Whether you're a casual builder or a serious collector, The Set List makes it easy to keep track of the sets you own and the ones you're hoping for — and lets your loved ones know exactly what to get you for birthdays, holidays, or just because.

CREATE YOUR SET LIST Add LEGO sets to your owned list or wishlist in seconds. Scan the barcode on the box with your camera, type the barcode number manually, or enter the set details yourself. The app looks up the set name, number, theme, and even shows you a photo — automatically.

SHARE WITH FRIENDS & FAMILY Enable sharing to get your unique link. Send it to anyone — they can view your wishlist from their browser, no app required. They'll see exactly which sets you want, with prices and themes, so they can shop with confidence.

RESERVE GIFTS (SURPRISE-PRESERVED) When someone buys you a gift from your list, they can reserve it right in the app. Other friends will see it's taken — but you won't see a thing. The surprise stays intact until you unwrap it.

FRIENDS LIST Add friends by their share code. View their wishlists and reserve gifts for them, all in one place. No more group chat chaos trying to coordinate who's buying what.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-14

• Create multiple wishlists on one account — perfect for parents managing lists for kids who don't have their own device
• Redesigned Brick Buddy view: browse their Master List, wishlists, and custom lists, or scan a set to instantly check if they already have or want it
• Search for any set by scanning a barcode, or typing a UPC, set number, or name — now available throughout the app
• Add a Brick Buddy by scanning their QR code, no more typing share codes
• New Brick Inventory: track loose parts you have at home, and they're automatically applied when you start a new Build Tracker project
• Add your own photos to items on your lists — your Inner Circle can see them too
• Build Tracker: type an exact quantity to add/subtract, or mark a part fully collected in just one tap
• Your Brick Buddy's Master List now shows each set's actual build status (Not Started/Building/Built) instead of a generic "Has it"
• Under-the-hood security and reliability improvements

### 1.3 — 2026-07-19

Build Tracker — A brand-new feature for LEGO fans who source individual parts to build retired or hard-to-find sets. Users can create a "build project" for any set number and track it through the sourcing and building process.

The Build Tracker is accessible from the home dashboard and the Settings screen.
Initial build project creation flow with set number input.

Progress Photos for Build Projects — Users can now capture or pick photos from their device and attach them to any build project. Each photo includes an optional caption. Photos are stored securely in Firestore (base64-encoded JPEG) in a new buildPhotos subcollection.

Photo Gallery — A swipeable, full-screen photo gallery viewer is built into each build project's detail screen. Photos display with captions and can be deleted individually.
Set Metadata Auto-Fetch — When creating a new build project, the app automatically fetches the set's official name and image from the Rebrickable API using the set number, so projects are populated with accurate details and visuals without manual entry.

Build Status Tracking — Each build project has a three-stage status: Collecting → Building → Built. Users can advance the status with a single tap. The home dashboard shows live counts of how many sets are currently being built and how many have been completed.

Friend Build Tracker View — Users can now view their friends' build projects and browse their progress photos, bringing the social sharing experience to the building journey.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-15

1. Move To Master List
You can now take any set on your wishlist and move it directly to your Master List (your owned collection) with one tap. When you do this, the set is:
Added to your Master List with a "Not Started" build status
Removed from your wishlist
Has any existing reservation automatically cleared
How to use it: Open any wishlist set → tap "→ Move to Master List" → confirm in the dialog. A green confirmation snackbar appears ("Moved to Master List!") and you're returned to your list.
2. Reservation Target Date With Automatic Move
When a friend reserves a set on your wishlist, they can now optionally pick a date for when that set should automatically move to your Master List (i.e., when they plan to gift it to you). Here's how it works:
For the friend reserving the gift: A new date picker appears on the Reserve Gift screen — "Add to Master List on… (optional)". They pick a date (defaults to 30 days out, range is today through 5 years ahead). If they don't pick a date, it works exactly as before (simple reservation with no auto-move).
For the wishlist owner: Friends will see the reserved item displayed as "Reserved — moves to Master List on YYYY-MM-DD" so it's clear when the gift is coming.
Automatic move: When you (the owner) open the app and the target date has been reached or passed, the set is automatically moved from your wishlist to your Master List, the reservation is cleared, and it's logged in your activity feed. This check runs every time your data loads.
