## What is The Shining Tribe Tarot?

Shining Tribe Tarot takes us to a mythic realm inspired by fifty thousand years of culturally diverse art. Sourced from ancient rock carvings, shamanic art from global cultures, the Kabbalah, and Jungian psychology, Shining Tribe is powerful, sophisticated, and utterly unique.

In Shining Tribe, the suits are renamed as Trees, Rivers, Birds, and Stones, and the royalty have become The Place, The Knower, The Gift, and The Speaker. The Major Arcana provides a map of the soul’s journey from birth to enlightenment, and the Minors show the kaleidoscope of human experience in all its varied forms.

Author/artist Rachel Pollack is one of the world’s foremost authorities on Tarot. “All of us who work with Tarot form a kind of tribe, one whose roots go back many thousands of years before the actual appearance of Tarot cards. This is the tribe of diviners, those special magicians, shamans, psychics, and visionaries who use cards, or sticks, or trees, or stones, or shells to communicate with the Gods.”

The STT is one of the most beautiful and grounding tarot collections I’ve found. It’s deep and yet completely accessible to those new to tarot. The app is such a perfect companion — for when I travel or feel the need for inspiration when I’m at work or on the go. The journal function is well designed and user friendly. No glitches, all good.

This actually a great way to experience the Shining Tribe tarot deck. The creator Rachel Pollock (who sadly recently passed) leaves us a very rich and empowering tool of self-insight. The app has many reading layouts and includes the whole accompanying book written by Rachel making it incredible value. Card descriptions are detailed and interesting. Readings have been incredibly accurate using the app, which tbh I had my doubts about.

A wholly wonderful and inspired tarot whose beautiful movements reveal the myth of our untold story. When you want a tarot that is deep, the Shining Tribe always delivers. I possess all three editions of this tarot, but I cannot travel without it, and so this ap does the trick. I never used set spreads but I know I can lay the cards as I need. Recommended.

Pollack’s images are colourful and  whimsical. The art is naive, thus enabling one to have a completely fresh view of the issues of the reading.

I love Pollack’s interpretations because they are intuitive and gentle. This deck is perfect for personal use.  I feel as if I’m with a Wise Mother each time I use it which for the last four months has been every day.
