## What is The Signal?

You are a journalist. Your editor hands you a story nobody wants told.

An AI service unit in Riverside was wiped overnight. The official line is routine maintenance. Your sources say otherwise.

You have five shifts to find the truth. Interview a nervous receptionist, a resentful technician, a rival reporter chasing the wrong lead, and an AI unit mourning its sibling. Every source has a reason to mislead you. Every conversation is limited.

Between interviews, review your notebook. Cross-reference accounts. When two sources independently confirm the same detail, you have evidence. When their stories contradict, someone is lying.

When you are ready - or when time runs out - you publish. Your article is graded against what actually happened. Get it right, and your credibility rises. Get it wrong, and your next sources will be harder to reach.
