So the images are formatted improperly. They are also frequently blurry (which did not happen with Sneaky Pix, another app that's since disappeared). Also, merely launching the app inexplicably causes the iPhone's audio to be turned down to nearly zero. So, if I'm listening to music or to a podcast, launching this app cancels that audio—for no reason whatsoever. I wrote the developer about this, over a year ago, but never got a reply. And now, the support link in the App Store leads to a defunct web page. Finally, I just upgraded to an iPhone Xs Max, and Silent Cam is saying it "doesn't have permission" to access my photos. But there's no way to *grant* it permission! The app needs an update! But the developer is MIA. This is so infuriating. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t silence the noise *2018-09-09, version 1.0* iPhone 5s - doesn’t do what it’s bought for! Still shutter noise!! ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2018-08-21* I needed this app to do one thing and that was allow me to record video while the screen looks off. In the description it says, “perfectly black screen page,” so I purchased it. But the screen isn’t “perfectly black.” There’s an overlay of the video in the middle of the screen. It’s small and it’s faint but it’s still noticeable and mostly defeats the purpose of having a “perfectly black screen page.” However, I could probably live with that if necessary. What I can’t live with is that it has a big red dot with the word “Recording” at the very top (and that goes for every “page,” by the way). Says developer needs to update on iOS. Was a Great idea. And is true enjoyed. I like the screen with the little camera. Barely noticeable and you can see what you’re shooting. Great cause the little one will always stop what she doing to pose if she thinks she is being filmed. I searched under 'secret camera' & 'spy camera' most were similar but the shutter sound of the camera couldn't be silenced. This, however, does the job perfectly, with a wide variety of secret screens, so no one can suspect. Well worth the purchase price!
