Loved every minute. *2016-11-15* It was much longer then I expected and I was happily surprised. The graphics look vintage but not so pixilated that it's hard to see and nauseating to look at (as I've seen in other games that missed the mark). I throughly enjoyed the entire play through. This is definitely in my top 5 point and click adventure games, and there aren't nearly enough out there on iOS and even fewer that are really good. This is really good. I couldn't put it down and was anxious to see what would happen next. I'm anxiously awaiting act 2 now!! Bravo on a great game! No complaints here. The only thing that could possibly improve this well put together adventure would be the addition of voice acting. I have to admit I thought to myself a few times how fun it would be to hear them speak in the accents of the area and lingo of the time. Something to hope for in the future perhaps. Annoyingly the game froze an hour in and I couldn’t carry on playing without restarting which I didn’t want to do. I tried playing it for 15 minutes, and it’s nothing but looooong boring dialogue. It may become an actual game eventually, but I’ve lost all interest and can’t take anymore clicking through stupid dialogue. I restarted it and restarted the whole game .i want a refund back .im disappointed ### 2/5 — Would like to leave a better review... *2016-07-04, version 1.0.323* ....but unfortunately the first 15 minutes of play were marred by immersion syphoning glitches (black boxes around assets, black artifacts that obscure the main character sprite). Can't speak to quality of the story or puzzles since I quit playing after the above ruined the experience. I will say the graphics are very appealing in a 90s Lucasartsy way and early impressions of the writing are very good. Will be happy to reassess once the glitches are ironed out. I was happy to find this game but it's not eerie, soundtrack is weak, there's no narration. Rooms look good but outside is very poorly drawn. The game just needs to be much more eerie and quirky like CB. I don't feel anything to the main character who is a scared of books drunky . ### 3/5 — Not bad, but *2016-07-02* Some of the game mechanics fail, such as the inventory pop up covering the lower part of the screen you may need to see, and the main character being surrounded by a black box for the last half of the game. Also, the sound would just disappear and I would have to restart my device to get it back. Some puzzles had vague or no clue, and just as things are getting interesting the game just ends. If you knew me you’d realize this is something I never do, but something about the game spoke to me. I am so happy I did. It’s really an underrated gem. The story could so easily be cliché, but the dialogue and the characterization lift it far above other games with similar subject matter. The controls are a wee bit finicky, but not nearly enough to detract from the rest of the experience. I hope the developer is able to finish the story. No problems to speak of but I did notice if I clicked on an item in inventory and left it open and went back to the game that it seemed I froze up a few times. No game loss. Game has auto save. After trial and error I found that if I clicked on another hot spot that it released it. Not sure if it was me or the game. I saw no one else mention this. Okay then, it was a cute story which left you hanging on for Act 2. As I see that was 2 years ago well let’s just say I won’t hold my breath for Act 2.
