A Google pop up occurs within the app and with internet access to the newspaper...clearly a malware bug that sets up bogus Tabs in your internet feed...see previous users experience...their entire site has been compromised...can’t believe its not been fixed..best thing is to remove app, clear all tabs and website data and do a cold reboot and forget about this app for now

For about a week now after I have browsed a couple of articles, no matter what I open next after I’ve read about half I get redirected from the page to some bogus “you are the 10,000 searcher on Google and have won something “ or something like that with confetti blowing up everywhere.  From there you cannot close it or go back to the Southern’s app and have to shut it down and start over.  It seems once this has happened to a certain article, it will happen every time I try to open it in the future, so I never get to finish reading it.  This is the only app I have experienced this problem with so it’s not coming from my end.

This is my go to app for my local news and it also has obituaries, sports and some national news.
After update on May 15, 2018 I had problems with the app crashing on my iPod touch five, but I did a restart on my iPod touch and after that it no longer crashed.

I like this app for the news but it is constantly taking you to the App Store to get some stupid game apps. You have to be so careful where you tap but even if your finger is on a news story, it will immediately open the App Store. EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!!! Sometimes I go back to the southern app and sometimes I just give up and close it. Seems like they could advertise a different way.
