### 3/5 — The app is improved.

*2026-06-24*

The app has been much improved. The adds at bottom are still annoying and the app is to sensitive to touch and keeps bringing you back to front page.

**Developer response:** We're sorry to hear that you feel this way. We have been working hard to improve our app performances and have recently made some big changes to our app. If there are specific issues you'd like us to address, please don't hesitate to call us at 509-747-4422 or email support@spokesman.com.
Sincerely, The Spokesman-Review Team.

### 3/5 — Mobile Web Site Better

*2026-06-09*

App is unattractive and clunky to use. Large article photos take up a lot of space and force too much scrolling. Stick with the mobile web site.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the honest feedback, that's exactly the kind of input that helps us improve.
We're sorry the app hasn't been the experience you were hoping for. We'll make sure your comments are shared with our development team. If you'd like to share more details, please reach out to us at support@spokesman.com. We hope to win you back to the app!

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 4/5 — On-line is fine

*2026-06-01, version 2.1.6*

Best way to keep up on local news.

### 2/5 — slow to load

*2026-05-30*

I love the Spokesman Review, but the app could use some work. It is slow to load, sometimes there are missing pages, and whenYou close your device to do something else and then go back to it starts over again instead of going to the page you were on. I also wish that the puzzles that are actually printed in the paper could be done on the app. They do have some puzzles available, but they’re not the same ones.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your loyalty to The Spokesman-Review.

We sincerely apologize for the frustrations you've encountered with the app. The issues you've describe (slow load times, missing pages, and losing your place when switching between apps) are not the experience we want for our readers and your feedback has been heard. Our team is actively working to improve the performance and stability of the app and your specific observations are exactly the kind of detail that helps us prioritize fixes.

We're also happy to share that we are currently working on integrating the puzzles more fully, and you can expect a more streamlined puzzle experience in a future update. We think you'll be pleased with what's coming!

Thank you again for sticking with us and for caring enough to share your thoughts. Readers like you make us better.

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 4/5 — Can’t login

*2026-05-30, version 2.1.6*

Too many failures logging in

### 4/5 — OK

*2026-05-29, version 2.1.6*

The only reason I read the email edition is because the delivery person sleeps in and doesn’t deliver until 7:30 to 8:30. Way too late and they won’t do anything about the problem.

### 2/5 — Did they tell they were changing?

*2026-05-28*

I was not aware that the old app was going away. I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t download the 1/10 & 1/11 editions. Finally poked around enough for the light to go on. We’re we informed of the change? I don’t recall it.

Anyway, I thought the old app was awful. This one is acceptable. At least so far.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for the confusion you experienced. We would love to help clarify what happened and ensure you have uninterrupted access to your editions going forward. Please reach out to our customer service team at support@spokesman.com so we can look into this further. We appreciate your patience and are glad you're back up and running!

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 4/5 — Good regional paper

*2026-05-28, version 2.1.6*

I enjoy my daily read of the Spokesman, although at times it seems a bit skewed in one direction on the political spectrum.

### 3/5 — Works OK, sometimes

*2026-05-28*

The app seems to be a bit quirky, sometimes working OK, other times randomly requiring me to log in, often not loading an article just giving me an error message, it will also jump back to the first page completely on its own.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Feedback like yours is genuinely valuable as we work to improve the app.

We're sorry to hear you've been running into these inconsistencies. Unexpected login prompts, article load errors, and the app jumping back to the first page are frustrating interruptions to your reading experience, and we understand how that can wear on you. These issues are on our radar and our team is actively working to make the app more stable and improve these functionalities.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know and we hope you'll continue to read The Spokesman as we make improvements.

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 3/5 — Great to read when not in Spokane

*2026-05-28*

We are snowbirds and spend winter in Arizona. We love that we don’t have to miss our paper while we are gone. Our routine is the Spokesman with our coffee so the digital version is perfect for us. Do not like the very liberal lean of the newspaper.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your loyalty and for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad the digital edition allows you to keep up with your Spokesman-Review routine no matter where you are (even from Arizona).

We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding our editorial perspective. We are committed to presenting a range of viewpoints and voices, and we take reader feedback seriously as we continue to evaluate our coverage. Thank you again for being a dedicated reader, and we hope to keep earning your trust.

### 5/5 — Why

*2026-05-28, version 2.1.6*

Why do I have to reenter my login. Every couple of weeks

### 5/5 — My favorite local newspaper

*2026-05-19*

I enjoy reading the e-edition on my phone every morning. This is the quickest way to get my local news with the peace of mind of knowing it’s real news and not fake AI articles like I see on social media.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words. We are proud to deliver trusted, local journalism that our readers can count on each morning. It's wonderful to know the e-edition makes that easy and accessible. We appreciate your continued readership and support.

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 2/5 — Great paper, glitchy app

*2026-05-06, version 2.1.6*

The paper is great but the app is so glitchy. I can’t even get into my account to renew a subscription.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Always late if it comes at all.

*2026-06-12, version 2.1.6*

The only reason I read the email edition is because the delivery person sleeps in and doesn’t deliver until 7:30 to 8:30. Way too late and they won’t do anything about the problem. Today it came around 9:30.

### 1/5 — Constantly cannot open edition

*2026-05-12, version 2.1.6*

I’m unable to open my e.edition. I follow all of the instructions that they give me to clear my cash and cookies and still can’t open it. I’m getting tired of this happening so often! I’m thinking of canceling my edition and taking the regular newspaper.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-02-28, version 2.1.6*

Horrible app that never remembers the password

### 1/5 — Understandable

*2026-02-04, version 2.1.6*

This is the most unreliable app you could imagine. It seldom functions properly, from being unable to select articles to throwing you out completely. Much like the paper has become, this app is a disgrace.

### 1/5 — GET RID OF GOOGLE ADS!!

*2026-01-25*

It is SO FRUSTRATING to pay for a subscription and be subjected to blinking google ads. I appreciate the static ads that are part of the paper, but the google ads in the navigation area have turned my morning read into a frustrating experience. It is annoying enough that I may cancel my subscription.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and we genuinely apologize for the frustrating experience. We understand how disruptive certain ads can be. While we are unable to remove all Google advertising at this time, as it helps support our ability to deliver the quality local journalism you enjoy, we do take this feedback seriously. If the experience continues to be a concern, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at support@spokesman.com and we will do our best to help.

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 1/5 — Difficult to access digital side.

*2026-01-14, version 2.1.6*

The app is difficult... full of bugs.

### 1/5 — How low can you go?

*2026-01-14*

Texas is not the only thing with a Lone Star. The Spokesman Review has poor web design, I find it hard to log on to my account and a frustrating process to get the paper to access.

Hey, this is 2026, make it more seamless like the Wall Street Journal or New York Times. I kept being directed to my account information instead of the newspaper itself today. And getting access to the Games and Puzzles are near impossible to find. Please fix!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your detailed feedback, and we apologize for the frustrating experience. We understand how important it is for access to the paper, your account, and features like Games and Puzzles to be seamless and intuitive, and we are sorry that has not been the case. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared with our team as we work to improve the experience. In the meantime, please reach out to our customer service team at support@spokesman.com and they will be happy to help you navigate access to the paper and Games and Puzzles. We appreciate your continued readership and patience.

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 1/5 — Displaying totally black pages

*2025-11-30, version 2.1.6*

Awful

### 1/5 — Displaying totally black pages

*2025-11-14, version 2.1.5*

Awful

### 1/5 — New update

*2025-10-19, version 2.1.5*

Not a fan of the most recent version since I cannot view an entire page and now instead have to scroll down to see/read all the articles. Also, the app will not download some of the e editions, specifically October 8. Unacceptable especially considering there was ANOTHER price increase recently!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great speed and quality information.

*2026-07-20, version 2.1.6*

I could not be happier with the navigability of the Spokesman App!

### 5/5 — Love the info

Love the info it provides and how accessible it is for the community.

### 5/5 — Excellent regional newspaper

*2026-06-13, version 2.1.6*

SR reports it just like they sees it. Keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — great paper, love the e-reader

*2026-06-12*

I have used the e-rreader for the Review for a number of years, it works great. At one point the download was slow, but that seems to have been fixed. Great paper, great app

### 5/5 — The Spokesman speaks for me

*2026-06-09*

I take the paper version and the in line version. My wife likes the hard copy. I like to share articles from the paper with friends in the USA. It has a good mix of national and local stories.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much, Joekmart. We love hearing that The Spokesman-Review works for your whole household. We'll keep delivering that mix of local and national coverage you enjoy. Thanks for your continued support!

Warm Regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 5/5 — Newspaper with the most

*2026-06-03*

The Spokesman Review provides news that is important to people living in the Inland Empire, as well as news from around the nation and the world. It provides many stories of community activity and upbeat stories as well. Its new sources, like Bloomberg, the LA Times, and the Washington Post, give a very broad perspective on things.

**Developer response:** We're thrilled to hear that our coverage is resonating with you. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

### 5/5 — Essential Information

*2026-05-28*

To have the privilege of getting up every morning and having a balanced, well rounded newspaper to read and enjoy at my own pace is one of the most wonderful and fulfilling parts of living in Spokane.
From national and world news to local sports, the Spokesman does, in my opinion, a first rate job of balancing information with entertainment and offering opinions on both sides of issues.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and generous review. We are proud to serve the Spokane community, and feedback like yours affirms our commitment to delivering well-rounded, balanced coverage each day. From local sports to world news and opinion from across the spectrum, our team works hard to ensure The Spokesman-Review remains a trusted and worthwhile part of your morning.

### 5/5 — Strong local paper

*2026-05-28*

It is great to have a good local paper. I couldn’t ask for a much better general source of local news.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your positive review! Comments like your truly remind us why we love what we do. Serving as a trusted source of local news for our community is at the heart of everything we do at The Spokesman-Review.

We'll keep working hard to bring you the local coverage you deserve. Thank you for being a part of the community.

Warm regards,
The Spokesman-Review Team

### 5/5 — BEST Newspaper App EVER!

*2026-05-28*

Even the nationals can’t match the ease and flexibility that comes with navigating this robust multi-format news app that also provides the most in-depth, comprehensive coverage in the Inland Northwest.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear that the apps navigation and flexibility have made for a seamless reading experience.

### 5/5 — No AI Worries!

*2026-05-28*

I love everything about this app and the SR. I spend a few minutes minimum each day—skimming the headlines or reading whole articles—and feel in-the-know, without ever having to doubt what I’m seeing. There is journalistic integrity, in-depth analysis, and quick lists. I never ever miss reading the advice column and the comics. We are so lucky to have the SR, and I read it quickly and easily on the app, even when on vacation or on a break at work. Well done!

**Developer response:** Thank you for this thoughtful review. We're delighted the app supports your daily routine and that our journalism, analysis, and features like the advice column and comics continue to meet your expectations. Your loyalty and kind words mean a great deal to the team here at the Spokesman-Review.

Warm Regards
The Spokesman-Review Team
