Definitely needs improvement. Very slow moving app and poor interface. Takes too long for articles to load rendering it near useless. Could use some tips from a well known rival - SCMP.

That's good apps. But so far haven't  supported the iPhone5 screen size yet. That's quite disappointed.

The only feature I would love to see added is the ability to share articles via Twitter. I hope to cancel my SCMP subscription this year end as this app have made my HK news browsing a lot easier.

This was a great app before the 5th of Jan update. Now it takes around 15 minutes to download,literally and minute or two was how long it used to take. Very frustrating and needs to be addressed.

Not the most pleasant experience but easier than getting the news directly of their website. 

The app isn't that pretty to look at or that well laid out. First, at the bottom is a menu bar that allows you to change settings and the like. This together with  the advertising banner takes up nearly 2cm of screen space. 

Second the various section headings are very narrow and placed at the top of the screen so one handed use isn't the most comfortable

Third, auto fetch is very slow. It takes a couple of mins for all of the articles to download. There are hardly any photos  in the articles so the slowness is beyond me.

The Standard is really surpassing SCMP in innovation. Apart from the classified, getting access to the 1st free English newspaper is easier now with iPad & iPhone apps. I bought an iPad partly because I could read the paper as it's not easy to get the paper in my area.

This app is not as accessible as the iPad version but considering the screen limitation, organization is good although it will take a bit of navigation. If you know what you want to read, this is the mobile news app for HK English readers.
