That said, I was left with a lot of questions by the end. What I liked: The farming and trading elements were a highlight for me. They’re intentionally slow-paced, which fits the story well. You can’t possibly get everything done in a single day, so you have to manage your energy and resources carefully. Talma’s family history adds to the increasingly gloomy/spooky atmosphere on the farm. Digging into her memories, letters, and artifacts was especially engaging as it felt like piecing together a mystery. What I didn’t like as much: I just wish I understood more of her story. How do the folks in her letters connect to her dreams or her associations with certain items? I want the full story! What’s up with the artifacts? And those special items from the merchant (“this is no ordinary rock”) - what do they mean? I had to replay multiple days already, and with this game essentially being a chore simulator, it’s super annoying and at 5,49€, being non-refundable, I’d recommend spending your money elswehere. ### 5/5 — Beautiful, Heartfelt, Soothing, and Imaginative *2020-04-17* This game had everything I hoped it would have. The world was very imaginative, despite you only experiencing it through letters and books. The graphics were beautiful. The story was warm and sad. The movements and actions are very slow, which at first is frustrating. However, after you play for a bit you adjust to this slower pace and it gives the game a calming effect. Very anti-anxiety. Perfect for a quarantine. The only downside of the game would be a few glitches that the creators are working on fixing. I didn’t encounter these until the end of the game, so they didn’t inhibit my experience much. My basket went missing and my pail was stuck in the fence. The only other downside is how short it is. But there doesn’t seem to be a way to have a happy ending, and watching all of your animals starve closely followed by you just isn’t enjoyable. Zero action, don’t waste your time. ### 1/5 — 세상답답 *2019-07-27, version 1.03* 이런기분 느끼려고 이게임 결제했나 현타옴 ### 1/5 — not worth it at all *2019-06-15* i got this game because the graphics looked beautiful and i was intrigued by the idea of creating a routine for her virtual farm. the graphics didn’t disappoint but the game itself really did. i understand that it follows a storyline and the farm life isn’t the main focus, but that’s really all that i enjoyed. the letters were pointless and the family members weren’t intriguing. talma would receive an ominous letter yet would continue around daily life- as long as the sunlight would allow. on that, the days are way too short. she moves so slow, it’s hard to finish all the tasks once the days start getting shorter. also, the wolves?? it was so disappointing and frustrating to find my animals dead and not be able to protect them or her. i finished this game in about three hours because i had NOTHING else to do. now i’m playing it through again to see if i can play with a better strategy in mind and maybe get a more gratifying gameplay experience, but i highly doubt it. this game is worth a dollar or two, tops. don’t waste five on it. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — 还会更新吗 *2026-02-10, version 1.03* 还会更新吗😭 ### 5/5 — Not your average farming sim *2025-04-24* The other reviews entirely missed the point of this game. This is not a min-max millionaire farming sim, there is no winning, and you won’t be some capital tycoon lol. This is a game where you are an isolated, elderly woman who is struggling to keep her childhood homestead alive, despite being the last of “14 pairs of shoes by the front door.” This is primarily a story based game with some farming elements and very necessary inventory management- literally the reality for people in poverty. Yes, Talma moves slow, and yes, you can’t get a lot done in a day, especially when the days get shorter. That’s intentional. Every move she makes counts, because her time isn’t infinite, unlike most farm sims. This game is so beautiful and intentional and haunting, and yes it’s worth $5?? It’s worth far more than a cup of coffee. Я бы хотела в эту бабушку играть бесконечно, если бы у неё была «бесконечная ферма»))) Я поняла «что хотел сказать автор» и история законченная с социальным и философским подтекстом.
