Lots of interesting and up-to-date information about the strings world. I would give it five stars if it were a little bit more budget-friendly. ### 3/5 — Great content zooming could be better *2013-08-20* Everything great bar the zoom. If you could click on an article which then filled the screen of the iPad or iPhone then you wouldn't have to keep scanning across and back - this would make the experience much more like an online mag and less like a photo of a paper mag. ### 5/5 — Wonderful magazine *2012-11-09* This exceptional title is even better as an App. I couldn't always find it in the shops but now I have access to it all the time! I'm not disappointed- it looks great and I can buy back issues. This magazine was always difficult to find in the shops so after years of rarely reading it I am hooked again. The most recent except for mine is 4 years ago. I feel spooked out. ### 1/5 — Way overdue for an update! *2018-03-11* I wrote a five-star review 5 years ago, when the app was finally updated. A better interface, much faster download times for new issues, and a range of other improvements were launched and changed the experience. But it has been eight months and a good app has become a real pain in the neck. The main issue is that the app crashed 100% of the time. If one has the patience, it can be coaxed back into functioning, but you have to close it, reset it, try it again, and hope for the best. Three false starts is the minimum; more is the norm. Developer did a good job before, but 8 months in iOS world is much too long and starts to look like simple laziness. Regardless of 2min setting for auto lock the Strad app keeps screen on regardless of activity, wondering whether it is some limitation of iOS but I’m thinking this is a no brainer.....haven’t swiped to a different page or opened an issue for the last 10mins?
