Die App funktioniert grundsätzlich gut aber für garmin uhren (ich habe die garmin instinct 2)ist die Kompatibilität leider sehr eingeschränkt (ich z.B. habe keinen live Jump Support( das bedeutet dass ich nicht die Länge, die Höhe, noch die Dauer der Sprünge messen kann))! Wem diese Einschränkung jedoch nicht betreffen oder es ihnen egal ist, für die sollte die eigentlich eine der besten Wahlen sein!

**Developer response:** Aufgrund der Sensorbeschränkungen der Instinct 2 ist die Uhr tatsächlich nur mit GPS kompatibel. Das bedeutet, sie kann lediglich GPS-Informationen wie Geschwindigkeit und Entfernung liefern. I really used to like this app. I used it in combination with a Garmin watch, which tracked my sessions without the need for a paid subscription. The features that the basic version provided were completely sufficient for me, and I really liked the statistics it offered.

It’s sad to see that this app has also turned into a money-making machine. With the new version, even the basic features have become more limited. I can’t see those without paying for it anymore.

It’s a shame. I want my basic jump stat features back.

**Developer response:** We understand it’s frustrating when something you’ve used for a long time changes. With the new update, Surfr is still free to use and we’ve also added new free features like wind forecast, Strava export, and more.

The main change is that full jump details are now limited in the free version. For riders who only do a few sessions per month, these details will still remain available for free. More frequent riders may reach the limit, while still being able to record sessions, keep their highest jumps on the leaderboard, and use the core app.

Plus helps us keep improving Surfr and supporting the platform long-term, while keeping a free version available for everyone.

The choice of a dark theme only is really bad. Dark theme are great for people that live in the dark. but kitesurfer don’t, they leave at the beach.

they’ve forgot that design should be useable. fonts should scale even when the user doesn’t have reading glasses on 🙄 - no one has reading glasses on when they’re looking at a watch on the water - pls make display size user controlled, make watch data glance able ; not squint mandatory

Bravo pour cette dernière version de Surfr. qui intègre vraiment pratiquement tout ce dont on a besoin. Le compte-rendu est vraiment complet et ludique ! 
A quand la connexion avec Apple Santé et/ou Relive ?

 J’utilise l’application surfr.pro sur mon Apple Watch Ultra pour enregistrer mes sessions de Kitesurf et systématiquement, lorsque je démarre mon Apple Watch il y a une erreur sur le spot de Kitesurf choisi. Comment changer le spot à posteriori sur l’application elle même sur mon iPhone ? 
Pourquoi le spot n’est pas juste sélectionné d’après les données GPS (par exemple, je suis à Ilha do Guajiru au Brésil et il enregistre Casa Maresia qui doit se situer à 1000km plus du nord) ?

Pour répondre à vos questions

Connexion avec Relive :
Pour le moment, il n’est pas encore possible de connecter Surfr directement à Relive. En revanche, vous pouvez exporter votre session manuellement puis l’importer dans Relive afin de créer une vidéo. Nous avons d’ailleurs publié une vidéo d’instructions sur notre Instagram, en collaboration avec Relive, qui explique chaque étape.

Sélection du spot :
Surfr peut uniquement sélectionner des spots déjà présents dans notre base de données. Si vous constatez qu’un spot manque, vous pouvez simplement en demander l’ajout via l’onglet Découvrir de l’application (bouton +).

Concernant la mauvaise sélection : en effet, l’application choisit automatiquement le spot le plus proche selon les coordonnées GPS enregistrées dans notre système. Si un autre spot a été sélectionné, c’est qu’il apparaît comme étant le plus proche à ce moment-là.
Il semble d’ailleurs que nous ayons déjà échangé avec vous à ce sujet via notre support.

Great app for measuring jump height in kite surfing and many related stats. 
Great alternative to ridiculously overpriced Woo, comes at 5.99 per month. 
App keeps getting better, no session without the surfr app for me.

Find die App richtig gut, schon allein weil ich nur noch die Watch zum tracken brauchen für Höhe und GPS. Aber leider sind mir beim Übertragen schon zwei Session verloren gegangen, in der Apple Health App tauchen sie auf, in der Surfr App nicht…. das ist dann sehr ärgerlich

Sachez que vous pouvez utiliser « Afficher gratuitement » un nombre limité de fois pour révéler les données, et que votre meilleur saut est toujours visible dans votre session. Avec une communauté en pleine expansion et le lancement de l'application Surfr entièrement repensée, Surfr entre dans une nouvelle phase. La nouvelle application propose de nombreuses fonctionnalités inédites et des analyses plus approfondies pour les riders. It was great when I used beta version. Once I switched to pro subscription - it started to miss every second jump in lower than 6m. This is super annoying and frustrating.

There’s no way to get a recorded data after session. Basically no way to understand what goes wrong with this app. 

All other features don’t make any sense if app doesn’t record jump.

I’m using it with Apple Watch Ultra.

There support team is not answering for weeks. Very pricy subscription to use on a watch and thats what you get.

when you PAY for pro.. the app should NOT keep pushing PRO as an option, with free trials or whatever. its misleading and anxiety inducing. AND it’s just poor product design, get a real UI/X designer

The app excels in tracking jumps and GPS data. However, I’ve noticed that while the app reads heart rate data, it doesn’t save it. This omission becomes apparent when sessions are saved and subsequently uploaded to platforms like Strava or Apple Health. The heart rate data seems to be discarded, resulting in inaccuracies like displaying 0 calories burned. Incorporating a feature to retain and transfer this heart rate data would greatly enhance the app’s functionality. Apart from this, the app performs admirably in other aspects.

I’ve been using Surfr for quite a while now, and it has become an essential part of every kiteboarding session. The jump tracking and session analysis are simply fantastic.

I also want to give a special thank you to Floor from the support team. She was incredibly patient, kind, and professional throughout the entire process. She always took the time to investigate my questions, kept me updated, and genuinely cared about finding a solution. It’s rare to experience customer support that’s this responsive and thoughtful.

Excellent app, and even better customer service.

I have used this app for 18 months. 
I’ve just found out that you can now crop/trim your sessions!!

I like the live “out loud”announcement of my jump height as I ride and also the recording of my jumps overlayed on the gps map. 

I think some ability to add specific gear for Wing Foilers is being looked at which would be awesome.

I cannot say enough good things about this app. It’s a must have at our local spot, the developer is constantly adding new features and fixing bugs, honestly just a great application and has helped tremendously with my progression.

I tried all kitesurfing app that are out there and must say that Surfr is by far the best. You can really see that it’s picking up the right heights and doesn’t give these ridiculous results that you have on Woo. Been on Woo for years and don’t regret it a second coming to Surfr, because I can also use my own device. I’ve been also in touch with the support a few times, they replied super prompt and helped me right away. I can see that this app is made from kitesurfers for kitesurfers and other water sports. Now with the new update 4.0 it’s even better. Can’t wait for what other features they will release 😍😍😍
