The 4 stars is for “if only.” If only the app allowed you to record when you tap without the app, using your voice and thoughts. Manual and app as part of your streak and sessions. That is growth. What a testament to the app and tapping to see how powerful it is without being tethered to an electronic device. Both of the pain itself and the stress and anxiety that it causes. Along with shifting negativity so I can still find the joy in the everyday things. That said, I do still feel this needs more of a warning that the free trial is on condition of a year subscription, and if it’s said a reminder will come, then it should come. I will say EFT Tapping does seem like a decent evidence-based approach. — Original 06 July 26: Like many others, it seems, I didn’t realize the free trial I signed up for was attached to an annual trial. While yes, I realize that I am ultimately responsible for my failure to properly read, I’m also floored that the “we will email you before your trial ends” never happened. They have thought of everything possible to include in the tapping sessions. These are very well put together and done with such care. Tapping has been one of the modalities that I absolutely love. It’s easy to do, takes very little time, and every time I do, I get great results. This for me is a mindsaver. I saw the app advertised and thought I’d give it a try. EFT Tapping is fascinating to me, and I was honestly going through a pretty rough patch. Like many others, it seems, I didn’t realize the free trial I signed up for was attached to an annual trial. While yes, I realize that I am ultimately responsible for my failure to properly read, I’m also floored that the “we will email you before your trial ends” never happened. I feel like making that happen would be especially important to a company producing a mental health app, unless they’re predatory. I’ve tried twice to use Apple’s automated refund request and been denied. I’m going to try to speak to a Senior Advisor on the phone today. I’m not holding my breath. The $101 after taxes could have gone to many actually useful things like gas, car maintenance, or food, instead of lining the pockets of a developer who clearly is in this for the money and not to help people. ### 1/5 — Charged during free trial *2026-07-01, version 4.15.0* I canceled the app 2 days before my free trial ended, and they still charged me. I did email them, but their private response was that Apple handles the billing/refund decision and they are unable to issue a refund themselves. I then contacted Apple and spoke with a live representative, who told me they cannot override the automated refund decision. So I am being sent in circles: the developer says only Apple can help, and Apple says they cannot override their own system. The only resolution I am seeking is a refund of the annual charge, since I do not use the app. I signed up for the free trial with the understanding that I would be notified before the trial ended. I was not notified, and instead of being charged for a first month, I was charged for an entire year. I understand how app subscriptions and trials work, and I know users are responsible for managing subscriptions. That said, I would never knowingly authorize or choose an annual subscription for an app I had only just tried. I always choose monthly billing for new apps, especially before deciding whether I actually use them. I had already deleted the app and contacted Apple immediately after seeing the charge, but my refund request was denied. Most companies send an email giving you a heads up that your trial period is ending soon. If you have a busy life and forgot to put the trial expiration on your calendar thinking you're going to get an email ... watch out because I checked my inbox and didn't get one. Instead, an entire expensive year was charged. I'm working on trying to get a refund. I want you to know that I had the app on my phone for years and never used it , Nick I have you book never got around to reading it. I tapped with you on U tube some years ago, life kind took hold. Recently I started working with Louise Hay again through her books and videos, and my life has taken a big shift and the struggle has been insane, my health has been awful, the fear and anxiety about my future and where I am going to live took hold I found it hard to breathe and frozen, then I remembered a U tube video with Louise H about tapping, I did it and it help then I saw you with her and I remembered your book and app, since your book is in storage I activated your app and it has been a life saver for me , it has been so incredibly helpful and amazing , I can’t begin to tell you how every aspect of my life has been in a panic state, but your app OMG your app has been so beneficial and life changing in such a positive way . I began to breathe and let go and allow myself to trust the process and have faith that everything is working out for me and my fur babies, that I am divinely guided and protected. It is worth it though, and I am worthy of this cost, because, when I am in a place that I am able to use the app and the practice, it is life saving and changing. Each time I make it back, I remember how valuable the practice and the messages are, and how impactful and supportive tapping is for my nervous system. It has also helped me to be kind to myself as I move in and out of the practice without beating up on myself.
