This is a very blatant and severe glitch. They obviously did not test the game at all before releasing it. It is not some obscure or situational bug. Also, I don’t like how two 5 in a row cubes matched together instantly ends a level. It feels too powerful/easy to beat. I’d rather it simply clear one full wave/wave of enemies. In addition, I don’t like boring bonus levels for coins.
