## What is THE TOURNAMENT 2026?

As the nation’s oldest HBCU athletic conference in the nation, the CIAA upholds a legacy of excellence, leadership, and cultural pride. Since becoming the tournament’s first new host city in over 15 years, Baltimore has embraced this vision wholeheartedly—welcoming the games and championing their deeper mission.

In partnership with the CIAA, Baltimore proudly supports the CIAA General Scholarship Fund, benefiting students across all 13 member institutions. Through fundraising and community engagement, we aim to uplift future leaders and expand access to higher education.

Baltimore Fundraising & Scholarship Partnership Overview

The 501(c)(3) Baltimore Sports and Tourism Development Council (BSTDC), leads local fundraising efforts in collaboration with corporate sponsors. Their annual scholarship initiative supports the academic and athletic journeys of CIAA students through the CIAA General Scholarship Fund, reinforcing Baltimore’s role as a vibrant host city and strengthening the legacy of HBCUs.
Every dollar raised does more than support sports—it fuels academic achievement, future leadership, and lasting community impact.
