My aggravation with the new update is that it may have been a free game but I paid $4.99 to unlock it and now it's full of advertisements. What's that all about besides annoying! I get bothering the people that didn't pay to unlock the game but for those of us who did its just Total BS & I'm not at all happy about it!!! Unless of course the already purchased button quit working again as the other poster had mentioned.. Purchased it long ago for my PC, then transferred it to my laptop, then my iPad. This is very bad form and the developers need to do away with it. I also think that $4.99 is too expensive for an arcade game. Come down on the price and I may consider buying it. It's not as good as the regular Montezuma. In the old one, certain combinations would add time, and the levels got increasingly longer and harder. With M3, the levels only get harder. Each level is only one minute. Oh sure, you can a few seconds to the level, but that is hardly worthwhile. The graphics are much smaller in this version, also. I'm going back to playing M2. I had hoped that as I got to higher levels the time limit would increase but no luck. I try to use power-ups but find myself wasting precious time searching for them. So each time you go to play you have to start all over from the beginning. I am so good at level one or the first gate that all of my scores are above 100,000 points!!!!! Each time you go to your game even though you purchased full version it asks you to do so every time. Full version is suppose to stop ads. NO, EVERY TIME you finish a playing board up pops another ad for another game. If you miss and hit the wrong X then it takes you out of your game to the App Store with no way to return to your game without rebooting and then you get to start all over. But getting it to work uninterrupted proven to be more difficult than winning the lottery. (But better than I could do obviously). Had no problems with the iOS version of this one, just tons of fun. The time limit can be a bit daunting, but ends up creating a bit of an adrenaline rush for me, and the mini games, although a bit frustrating at times, are actually pretty clever and gave me a satisfying sense of accomplishment as well as a bit of diversion from the arcade play. And the game runs practically flawlessly on my iPad Air with iOS 12, which was a real relief after reading some of the other reviews. It is one of my few "go to" games when I'm sitting at the airport, or waiting for a meeting to start. You do not have to invest a lot of mental effort like an RPG so its a great two minute time killer. It is, however, still challenging enough to be fun. This game improves on the last with better graphics, landscape play setup (as opposed to portrait), more in game power ups, and I love the puzzle style mini game. Not sure how I feel about the new style of timed play (every level is 60 sec, pts driven, arcade style), but enjoy it so far.
