It freezes-up on me, usually after playing for half an hour or so. Turn my IPad off, try again this morning, still frozen! Can you fix it! Jan. 19, 2017, still have trouble with game freezing-up. Also, Have been stuck on level 6 for months. Just wondering what score wins game. Reached 315,300 a few weeks ago but still wasn't enough to complete level. About ready to delete the game! After the update today, got to the beginning of last level where you see the medallion and helpful advice, before you see the chest graphic. Game will not budge off this page. Tried to send developer feedback rather than leave a review, but the address does not work. ### 3/5 — Totally fun BUT *2013-07-26, version 1.2.1* Ok so after a while when you finish the game 2-3 times the score required for the magic stars is so high you can barely reach it. It stops being fun. Agreed it would be nice to go back to the bonus levels!! Tell me why you can't create new levels after the original five? ALSO....once you max out each of the Magic Totems the game does not give you more than one match so you can't activate them which keeps you from getting the bonus star. I'm not saying to make the game easy but at least achievable. ### 4/5 — Almost perfect- 2 *2013-02-23, version 1.2.1* I agree with everything "Bored To Death" said; this game is almost perfect, but the few issues it has really do bug me! (1)If there's a bonus on one of the tokens, it's really hard to tell what color the token is. (2)When you use a bonus, there're are all these lights and sparkles and stuff all across the screen, blocking your view of the playing field for a second or two, which sounds trivial, but when you only have 60 seconds, 2 seconds every single time you use a bonus really adds up! (3)This is my fault for not reading the details of the game before buying it, but in my defense, I have the first two Montezuma match-3 games and I assumed this one would be essentially more of the same only better and newer, but I really do struggle with the one minute time limit. I have bursts of speed, but I also have brain-freeze moments; in the other games, this is no problem because I use the heck out of the bonuses and make up for it, but I just can't seem to do that within the 60-second time limit... Anyway- it's a (mostly) great game, and I do recommend it, but if you're new to match-3 games, you may want to start with "The Treasures Of Montezuma" 1 or 2. ### 5/5 — Almost perfect! *2013-02-15, version 1.2.1* This is actually one of my favorite games. If only the developer would correct a few minor irritating components, this game would rate 5 stars. First: when the "tokens" are lit up during bonuses, it is no longer obvious what color they are, thus harder to match easily. Also, during the bonuses, there are flashing lights & symbols on top of the screen blocking the view. All of this is annoying & distracting. Second: each game lasts only one minute (without having earned any time bonuses) which is way too short to begin with. But, when you do earn a time bonus close to the end of that minute, there is a delay before it registers so the game ends without registering the bonus, which was earned. Great visuals. Great sound. A good level of complexity at higher levels. Also it doesn't require a lot of reading so it's great for those who don't read English well. Matching the same color combination 2 times in a row activates e totems -- which is a great feature and fun challenge. Now that I've finished the game completely I wish they'd come out with a sequel! Great game! ### 5/5 — The coolest!!! *2012-08-11, version 1.2.1* I absolutely love this game! Played all the way through on first level and it was a challenge, but one I really enjoyed accomplishing. When I finished the whole game, was so EXCITED to find out I could play through again on a harder level! It is the perfect game to spend a few quick minutes or an afternoon trying to beat! As I was playing the final round on the expert level, after logging off, the game would not play again. It would get as far as the intro to the game and then the screen just goes black and there is no way to play again. I've tried everything, including resetting my IPad, but all to no avail. It took me a long time to get thru all the levels so this was disappointing to have invested so much time, only to miss the finale! ### 1/5 — Getting very frustrated *2012-07-25, version 1.2.1* Treasures of Montezuma has been my favorite game since the very first version - I have all three on my iPhone and have 2 and 3 on my Kindle Fire and love both in the Kindle versions, too. I just purchased an iPad so of course the first app I had to get for my "fun time" was Montezuma 3HD. What I don't understand is why it is so much more difficult, almost impossible in this version. On my Kindle in am finally in the last cave. It was work but it was fun. This version on the iPad? Not so much. I can't even get the last bonus star in the first cave, let alone I am in the second cave and I am missing two stars so far there too. I don't mind to keep trying, but it's not even fun anymore. One minute isn't quite enough time, I don't think. Maybe 75 or 90 seconds - it always seems like a couple of seconds away. Too frustrating to be fun anymore. ### 1/5 — "Casual" mode??? I guess it is going for a Bejeweled Blitz vibe so avoid unless you like the frantic tapping of that game. For a solid puzzle game I recommend the original and avoiding this one. Wow. Not only is the game ridiculously hard even on casual, but now they deleted my save with the latest update so all that hard fought progress is gone. I do not usually hold up well under or enjoy the pressure of tightly timed games. But when we got Montezuma 3, I fell in love. I was irked when an update removed the ability to have profiles for more than one profile, and then I was angry when it was incompatible with iOS 8, not knowing whether it would be updated or abandoned. Now I am happily playing again. As far as I can tell, the game is as it always was, minus the player profiles and plus family sharing.
