For them to tell you you are idolater and to not baptize your children in Church??? It’s more of a stream like Facebook or X which makes it hard to find people & see snippets of profiles like other dating app usually are. They lie in their bios saying they will relocate and have no intentions to do so and they say they are traditional wives but will tell you things along the line they want a more “independent” version of being a traditional wife. The site is overrun with weak sounding effeminate protestant men, and most women are either protestant or non-denominational and they all have an extreme biased towards Catholics and orthodox Christians. It’s full of progressive women who are conservative in name only with checkered pasts but because they had their come to Jesus moment they think their past is irrelevant and “the future you provide for them is most important.” This app is nothing like a dating app it’s a social media app like Facebook, the concept of the app is good but it’s not user friendly, you can only upload 1 picture, and clunky. Men, this app is a waste of time and money and you are better off waiting for god to bring your wife to you in person the old fashioned way. And to the women on this app, the only perfect man was Jesus we all have past sins so if yall can’t comprehend that, yall gonna die alone. ### 1/5 — Marketed as a Dating App but it’s not *2025-02-05, version 8.197.29* The app is relatively new and the developers might have had every intention for it to be a dating app but it is not that at all. Half the profiles are incomplete and the only women that seem to be responsive to messages are outside of the US. Ultimately the users make an app great or terrible and unfortunately for this app the users have made it terrible and unfit for use as a dating app. However it does function well as another form of social media (hence the 2 star rating vice a 1 star)…BUT there is a catch. I found out about this app from an Orthodox Christian instagram account I follow but this app is NOT friendly towards Orthodox Christians at all (User’s fault not the actual app’s fault). I’ve seen too many times Orthodox (Catholic as well) users get attacked by other users in the comment threads to really want to recommend this app to anyone I know…However, the “Orthodox Chat” group is very helpful and really one of the only saving graces for this app. The “Red Pill” attitude is very prominent amongst the Men here and it doesn’t mix well with the “Woman shouldn’t have to give any effort in dating” attitude that seems to be prominent amongst the Women. From what I’ve gathered the Men were reaching out to the women and getting ghosted. This has lead to the app having a “Middle School Dance” effect with no one messaging anyone with any intention to date. So from Dec-Feb my assessment of the app is that it is a “Facebook” for virgins and far right conservatives…most likely will not continue to use the app past another month unless things drastically change. ### 1/5 — Not a dating app *2025-01-20, version 8.196.14* This is NOT a dating app. This is a social media app. They claim it’s a dating app, however it is just chats. There isn’t a way to truly match with another user. It is commenting on posts and pictures, which to me is another social media app, which I do not want. The pool of people is more quality than what you’d find out there on conventional sites. Fortunately, the app did work for me. I met my finance within the first week of being active. Thank you unplugged for giving those of us that are more traditional an alternative option for meeting like-minded people. ### 5/5 — A new way to find your match *2025-03-27, version 8.206.25* Unplugged is unlike any other online dating experience out there. It rejects swiping and surface-level engagement and offers real community and a way to get to know likeminded people in meaningful ways. Of course it's going to have growing pains, bugs, and glitches at the beginning. The developers are communicative, and have made many improvements. Like any new platform- it takes time to learn their nuances, and how to navigate. I like the social aspect of the app. It is conducive to slowing down, getting to know people, and being in "public" while doing so. I think the makers of this platform are doing a good work. I pray they receive many blessings. There is no place for hook-up-culture around there. It's refreshing. Also, it is a global app, so yes, people are spread out, and maybe there aren't many matches in some areas. More people will join, the app will grow. Come here to meet good people! ### 5/5 — IF I COULD GIVE IT 100 STARS I WOULD!!!! *2024-12-14, version 8.192.18* I’m not really a dating app user, downloaded Holy (which was supposed to be one of the good ones) a while ago and deleted it less than 24 hours later. I’m EXTREMELY picky with dating apps. With Holy I felt alone, between what felt like fishing for men, and not having a community of people who are looking for similar things. Unplugged is so different imagine a platform with multiple group chats. That’s what uplugged is like. I’ve only been on her for 24 and the women’s support is absolutely incredible!! I don’t feel like I’m “fishing for men,” it’s very communal. It’s as they’ve said “reject the hookup culture.” If your looking to find a husband ASAP this might not be the app for you but if your looking to find your best friend for life + a great support of women who could potentially become really great friends then THIS IS the app for you! There’s obviously know promises you’ll find a husband but if the Lord wills it to be then it’ll happen. This is the BEST “dating” app there is out there! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If I could give 100 stars I would! ### 3/5 — Good concept, but won’t fix online dating *2025-01-22, version 8.196.14* Tried this app for a bit and wanted to get in on the “ground floor” after seeing promoted posts on Instagram. It’s better than your average dating app since it’s more of a community like a Discord server than a true dating app. I like that. I realize they had payment processing issues, but it was probably better when there was a nominal cost to sign up (it was like $12/mo which was enough to deter unserious people but low enough to not be prohibitively expensive). And while it bills itself for conservative traditional Christians, you’ll still have all the same problems with any online dating experience, which isn’t Unplugged’s fault. It’s the nature of the beast that is online dating. I’m speaking from a hopeless romantic guy’s perspective, but unless you’re a 8+/10, unvaccinated, and basically a Biblical scholar, you’re not going to meet the standards of most women here. I won’t go into my personal stories here but I was a bit disappointed. No fault of the developers of this app, but don’t expect this to be the magic bullet to fix dating in 2025.
