### 4/5 — KABOOM!! Do recommend :3👌

*2025-09-02, version 1.0.7*

I played this game a month or two from now, but I loved it so much as I was playing! The characters were fun to interact with and the story was short, but yet a lotta fun with all of the routes you could’ve taken! I like how the romantic themes of this story were optional as well because even if you filled up the max to date one of them, you had the option to keep everything platonic.

It’s the kind of game you can finish in a day and leaves you curious with more questions than answers (which I tend to dislike, but found it enjoyable in this case.) I just wished it was written longer with a potential sequel to see what happens as there were some things I didn’t understand while playing. I believe it has a lot of potential and would replay it again for the fun of it, really! (Dang, I should’ve posted this review during October…)

Will write another review during October to replay and see what happens again! :D✌️(btw I LOVE to ramble…)

### 4/5 — needs more

*2024-06-28, version 1.0.7*

PLEASE ADD MORE AND MAKE THIS INTO A VISUAL NOVEL I NEED DAMIEN SOOO BAD.

### 4/5 — Feels unfinished

*2022-01-02*

The story is really good and I would definitely recommend reading, but I would like to see more of the story

### 4/5 — Interesting but incomplete

*2021-03-13, version 1.0.3*

The writing, while simple is compelling and interesting, the characters are as well. I wanted to get to know them and build friendships etc. If you spend enough time with a character, you can choose to go to the halloween party with them, and get a different ending depending on the character. I’ve done this with elizabeth and malka. unfortunately, if you don’t choose enough events with any particular person (6 total per person) you aren’t able to choose anyone and the story abruptly ends. Also, I tried to do all of roxanne’s events, but was on out able to do 5, and the game wouldn’t let me go the 6th.

### 4/5 — If Only the Full Version Were Accessible

*2020-12-11, version 1.0.3*

Loved playing, however I found it very sad when I was no longer allowed to play without paying for the full book. I became engrossed with my character and her skills/relationships/personality. Really wish I could’ve kept playing. So it’s gonna be only four stars for me.

### 3/5 — Progress sounds useless

*2020-12-09*

No matter what you upgrade, whether it’s studies, reading, body shape or hunter’s skills, the results are pretty much the same. I’ve gotten a perfect body and went to all quests at the hunter’s lodge and still was a beginner and couldn’t face the Aberration, and got all questions right at school but still got no exam to attend to. So what’s the point on doing all this?

### 4/5 — It feels a bit unfinished

*2020-08-12*

When you reach the end you have the feeling of “that’s it?”. And it’s a bit frustrating how you need to date someone to proceed. Besides that it’s a nice game

### 4/5 — Untapped Potential Genre

*2020-07-05, version 1.0.3*

While the game definitely has narrative and technical issues (like other users have already covered), I did genuinely enjoy playing this and creating characters to romance the love interests. A sequel would be nice, but I’d honestly just be fine with having more supernatural slice of life style choice games in general. Side note, I also appreciate being able to play through the story without it begging for my money.

### 3/5 — Great

*2020-04-05, version 1.0.3*

Honestly I really wanted to give this 5 stars. The story is amazing, the mechanics are great, the characters are likable and relatable, but want makes it lose two stars is the fact that it abruptly ends with no closure for anything. You don’t find out anything that makes the story so exciting. It’s a good 30minute to an hour read and not much else because of the abrupt ending. No point in paying for the 2.99 no ads because you don’t run into any until you finish the story. And then if you want to do something difference wait the 20 minutes cool down and then start over.
If this story continued or this was just the first part of a multipart series that releases like a comic it would be well worth 5 stars but the way it is now it’s 3/5 stars.

### 4/5 — Excellent story

*2019-10-06, version 1.0.3*

This is quite a good choose your own adventure game, it throws common plot lines and common genres to produce something more unheard of and extravagant, making it an incredible piece. It won’t be getting a full 5 stars as I’ve seen reviews from 3 years ago and so I can only assume the story will never be completed as such it will only receive 4 stars. Great game hope to see a come back soon

### 5/5 — Perfect story but the game is a little bit tricky at the end

*2019-07-28, version 1.0.3*

I was very much enjoying the game, but it ended up very unusual and lame.
Finally from the reviews I realize dad one of the characters should be six out of six for dating and going to the Halloween party, so the second time I start playing I found the date and everything ended up pretty well.

### 5/5 — This is amazing!

*2019-07-24, version 1.0.3*

This must be the best game I’ve ever played! You’re amazing for making this! I’m in love with it 👏🏻

### 4/5 — Feedback

*2019-07-07, version 1.0.3*

I would honestly love it if this game had more to it, more story to go on about. It’s a shame that it ends after the Halloween party. And I respect your decisions about profit, but maybe have the game longer as a paid option instead of having to pay for a short game instead of waiting twenty minutes. But that’s just my opinion, other than that, Damien was my favourite character. Good game.

### 4/5 — 1933

*2019-03-23, version 1.0.3*

The only things you really choose is who you court, other than that its still a pretty good book

### 4/5 — The best but....

*2019-03-19, version 1.0.3*

I love it, but I wish it was a lot longer and you could get 6/6 in more than just one group of events before it ends.

### 4/5 — Why end there

*2019-02-17, version 1.0.3*

I love the game and I plan on replaying it many times by why dose it end there i wish the story continued and I do hope we can get a continuation of a 2nd of the game picking up where this one left off

### 4/5 — Interesting! [Minor spoilers]

*2019-01-31, version 1.0.3*

I wasn’t aware that Activities let me work or visit people so I couldn’t romance anyone the first time through. I’m also a little confused about what happens with The killer That never really resolved but maybe if I had romanced someone I would have figured out what that was about? Would love to see more games like this though!

### 5/5 — Needs to be continued

*2018-09-29, version 1.0.3*

Loved it, there needs to be a part 2

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bit naff

*2020-08-17, version 1.0.3*

Got to the end and was like oh was that it, I wasted most of my night on that.

### 1/5 — Extremely boring writing

*2018-08-02, version 1.0.3*

The writing is extremely simple and overly concise. Short, seemingly unfinished scenes are strung together in a style closer to a sketch than a full-blown narrative.

### 1/5 — Good idea, horribly written

*2018-03-11, version 1.0.2*

As with their game “The Elemental Saga,” the game designers’ concept is great, I love the thought of a playable book with alternate stories, but they desperately needed to work with a professional editor before releasing this. The writing is clunky and tone deaf, almost like it’s not written by a human being, but by a robot trying to approximate the English language.

I don’t at all recommend this for that reason.

### 1/5 — This was horrible

*2017-02-16, version 1.0.2*

I thought it was going to be like the other interactive novels I've played, but this was just unbearable. The story is told in the first person perspective which is really irritating because it feels like I'm forced to be the protagonist instead of being the protagonist. I think it serves better as a short novel than an interactive one

### 1/5 — Good but huge let down

*2017-02-02, version 1.0.2*

Just as I started to get hooked into the story the game just ended out of no where... you don't get to pick a person to go to the party and it ends like a week before Halloween!? You don't find out what happens to the killer and it seems pointless to do anything at the lodge cause you don't even do any sort of hunting with them. You just go there and train. Also it shows there's 6 different events with a few different characters and I only managed to do 1 on 3 different ones...? I have no idea if I messed up or if that's just the end??

### 1/5 — Offal

*2016-02-29, version 1.0.2*

Beside the gramaticle errors the story was very meh. Most of the time you are reading a book or working out which I don’t even know what it is fore since you are able to finish the game without doing any of that.

### 1/5 — Just awful

*2016-02-10, version 1.0.2*

I am a huge fan of text adventures from Hosted Games and Choice of Games and I've played just about all of them. The description for this sounded just up my street but, oh dear, it was the BIGGEST letdown!

Where do I start? Ok, firstly there are no real stats as familar to all Hosted & Choice games. No sliding scales to measure how hot or cold your relationship is with others, just marks out of six for your various "experiences" with them.

Days and weeks pass in the game where the only choices are to read, study, exercise or change your style. And if you haven't decided to buy an expensive "fashionable" outfit or a goth outfit in your trip to the mall, then you are stuck in a plain outfit. You keep tapping "study" or "exercise" choices for what seems like forever, but your grades barely rise and your level of fitness remains poor until you are forced to carry out a specific activity. The game practically forces you into a relationship with a female if you dont want to pursue the one male love interest, and if you havent made enough progress in a relationship, the game ends abruptly just before a halloween party. What????

There is certainly no option "to go it alone" in the game. The main storyline is of secondary importance to kicking off a relationship with the other key character in the game. If you don't, then you've had it.

If that isn't enough to put you off, then the spelling and grammatical errors that litter the text will definitely set your teeth on edge.

All in all one of the most disappointing text adventure experiences you are ever likely to encounter.

### 2/5 — Free Version Same As Paid Version

*2019-03-12, version 1.0.3*

I played the free version of this app, and thought “This is good and very promising. I’ll get the paid version”. Turns out the paid version is the same as the free version: short and incomplete. Not sure if the creators have yet to expand on it or they just abandoned this project entirely. Either way, save your money until they fix this glaring problem.

### 2/5 — no idea what this story was supposed to lead up to

*2018-05-01, version 1.0.2*

For a supernatural story it was quite boring. I had no interest whatsoever in what was happening and I skipped quickly hoping this was all building up to something interesting - only for it to end abruptly. Was this all about some party?! All my choices were irrelevant because it was all going to end in who I got as a date?!

### 2/5 — Terrible editing, intrusive ads

*2018-01-03, version 1.0.2*

I got the free version to see whether I wanted to spend money on it. I’m glad I did, because I I wouldn’t pay for this. There was a mistake on the first page, the POV should be the reader, not a random character you can’t control other than some conversation. The point of these games is immersion, and filling the role (hence RPG, hello?!) and this doesn’t hit the mark at all. But the thing that really, really bothered me was a “you’ve won a free iPhone!” pop up in the middle of the game. Really?! I’m really not impressed, and it’s a damn shame because I’m a huge fan of the story so far. Hosted Games often have wonderful stories and it’s really disheartening to see the lack of both proper editing and standards. I really expected better.
