The app has many helpful features. Now, the app crashes on my phone, upon entry of the PIN. Fortunately it still works on the iPad. Unfortunately I can’t easily carry the big iPad everywhere. If this is not resolved, I will have to migrate. The developer website does not have a contact link, hence this review. ### 3/5 — Room for improvement *2025-10-14, version 8.5.1* Every time Apple update to a new IOS all my password data disappears in the app on y iphone. Every time. To resolve this you delete the app. Then download it afresh. Then (under great stress/tension) restore your data from Dropbox and pray it restores. Whilst not particularly difficult a process it’s very very annoying. No other app I use falls over on an IOS update. The developers need to resolve this continuing issue. ### 2/5 — What happened? *2025-09-21, version 8.5.1* I have used this app for years and talked it up to anyone that was looking. But something changed in 2024. I have had to reinstall it several times on my devices. At present I have lost some entries. And the pics don’t come back in each time. Again, what happened? ### 5/5 — Great App, Great support !! *2025-09-18, version 8.5.1* Long time user of this excellent app, however had a technical glitch recently which in all fairness was probably user error. Contacted the support line and the support provided was immediate and excellent, taking the time to walk me through some advisable options. If you’re inundated with hundreds of passwords or need a secure place for files and photos this is THE APP for you !! ### 3/5 — App is buggy lately *2025-09-16, version 8.5.1* I have had major problems with the app recently on all of my iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPad mini). The app eventually won’t load and I have to download the app again and sync everything. It has been a pain to deal with because I can’t rely on the app to just quickly look up a password. I often end up having to delete the app and then download it and sync it before I can use it each time. ### 2/5 — Wait on this version *2025-09-04, version 8.5.1* This is a wonderful app I have been using for years…but latest version is crashing on iOS 18.6.2, even after a reinstall and import of previous DB that’s work fine on an IPad. ### 5/5 — Restore *2025-09-01, version 8.5.1* I tried to access the Vault app and it would not open. I have the app on my phone, and a couple of iPads and are synced together. None of my devices would open The Vault. I sent an email to support on Sunday and received a reply this morning, Labor Day. The instructions were a little confusing, but after reading them a couple of times, I started the outline process step by step. Once I deleted the app and installed the app again, the instructions made sense and I got all of my passwords back. THANK YOU!! I can’t believe how quick the support team got back to me and provided the help that I needed. ### 5/5 — Good support *2025-08-31, version 8.5.1* Just a quick comment on client support. I’ve used this app as my primary password keeper for many years with no issues. I really like the sync feature that makes it easy to have the app continually update between IPad, IPhone and Mac. But I recently had my IPad repaired/reset and I was under the impression that since my IPad was the primary syncing device that all my devices might sync to it erasing 100+ passwords. Support was prompt and accurate with their guidance and reassured me the selection of a primary device was a one time only choice. It was then quick and easy to confidently replace all my passwords on my IPad. ### 5/5 — Simply the best password app *2025-08-25* A very good and flexible password app. In contrast to others i like the flexibility how _i_ can organize my confidential information. In the end i have much more in the vault than passwords. The vault has several add ons and is very customizable. The Vault is repeatedly disappearing immediately after I enter my passcode. It’s happened many times already - after every attempt. Powering my iPhone 16 off and on did not fix the problem. Upgrading from iOS 26.2 to iOS 26.3 also did not fix the problem. They charge for basic features like backups and syncing, and there are lots of hidden fees. One day it just stopped working and I lost all my data — even the backup couldn’t be opened. I have tried several other well known managers and they honestly were not as good. Had a slight hitch using one feature a few days ago, the response was within 24 hours and fixed the problem (my error not the app). I use it for writing practitioner notes that I want to keep secure and available across all my devices. After some difficulty on my part with syncing, the Vault team gave me advice and guidance that was incredible - prompt, polite, and useful. These guys are expert at what they do, know their product inside and out, and will get you going with the app in a jiffy. I have used it for years and have over a hundred passwords stored. I access it several times per week to check out what my passwords or other account information is. Just last week I could not get into my account. After contacting their customer support I got a response within hours with detailed instructions on what to do. The good news is that I am now back to using the Vault. It is cost effective, one time charges only… easy to use and understand, and if you need tech support it’s a quick email with a speedy response with easy to follow instructions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ### 5/5 — Excellent Support *2025-12-19, version 8.5.1* After upgrading to iOS 26.2 my Vault failed to load and I contacted The Vault team for support. They made a suggestion, which didn’t work and they came back with a series of steps. The steps were performed initially on my iPad and voila! I then executed the same steps on my iPhone which was a bit more challenging, due to the vault defaulting to apple files and not Dropbox. Good thing the vault covered this little mishap. I followed the alternative and was able to opened my backup file in Dropbox using The Vault. All devices corrected and I was successful in enabling secure link. A big thank you to The Vault team. I’ve been your customer for many years (12-13?) and I’ve found that this is the most functional daily app I’ve ever used. When I had one syncing issue. your tech support was there in hours to help me find an idiosyncratic cause or the problem. I was back in operation by the end of the day. The app has become the nerve center of all my confidencial information. Health, home management, finance, legal, it doesn’t matter. I got it covered. My only pain was not caused by you. Dropbox changed their fee schedule, but you kindly explained your security reasons for not changing your format, and I fully understand. Integrity of the security is un-impeachable. Have to delete app and reinstall. Then "purchase" secure update and use original password.
