Welcome to The Watchman Hotel Bar and Restaurant, an exciting new venue in the heart of Gullane, East Lothian. We are a newly refurbished 18 bedrooms hotel, and our vision of “hospitality with informality” drives us to provide an exceptional customer experience for each guest we welcome, whether to join us for a drink and a quick bite to eat or to stay with us and enjoy the beautiful golf courses and beaches of East Lothian.

Come and relax in our newly refurbished bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms painted in some of Farrow and Ball’s most gorgeous colours. Our deluxe showers and top of the range beds have been installed with your comfort in mind. We have thought of everything to maximise your enjoyment, including amazing wifi if you are juggling work and play; flat-screen TVs, and views out over the golf courses or the village. But we don’t want you to get too comfy as we would love to see you downstairs! We have one ground-floor accessible bedroom, where assistance dogs are most welcome, and we have three other dog-friendly rooms upstairs.

 

Whether you have been golfing on one of the many local golf courses, enjoying the beautiful sandy beach, walking the John Muir Way, or are simply wanting to get away from it all, we at The Watchman look forward to welcoming you. We are lucky enough to overlook four of Scotland’s best golf courses, and there’s a fifth within walking distance.

 

The picturesque village of Gullane boasts an award-winning unspoilt sandy beach popular with families, dog walkers, swimmers, and kite surfers. If you’re very lucky you might even see a dolphin!
