## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not the app you think it is

*2019-08-18*

Looks like the original app but it’s not. I was told by a friend that you input your babies information and will get notifications to let you know of changes with baby, not the case at all with this app it’s just an audio run through which you have to download each week.. rubbish.... Bit of a scam and a huge waste of money. Just don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Mind numbingly repetitive

*2019-05-28, version 3.1.1*

Listening to this made me think of a high school student trying to stretch a paragraph into a five page paper. Even our 11 year old daughter couldn’t believe how repetitive this was. Look, we own and like the book, and our family was looking for a way to listen to it while we painted our new nursery on a Sunday afternoon. This is like an awful advertisement that you have to pay for to suffer through. We were very disappointed, and I regret purchasing this. Wish I could undo...

### 1/5 — Not clear enough

*2019-04-09*

Just an audiobook, not an app

**Developer response:** Hi,

Sorry to hear about the confusion. If your intention was to purchase the regular The Wonder Weeks app, not the Audio version, you can submit a refund request on reportaproblem.apple.com , and use the refunded money to purchase the app you intended.

Best, Marco

### 1/5 — Purchased by mistake

*2019-02-14*

Was looking for the regular wonder weeks app, this was the only thing that came up so presumed it was this!

### 1/5 — Terrible app with no support

*2019-02-07, version 3.1.1*

I bought this app yesterday and tried to download the first chapter and the app froze with “error”. I re-downloaded it again and it froze again. Today, same story. I have no way to obtain refund or support. Don’t buy! I will update my review based on the progress if they make any.

**Developer response:** Hi,

sorry to hear that. Please contact me at support.ios@thewonderweeks.com so we could discuss and resolve this issue.

Best,
Marco

### 1/5 — Rubbish app, waste of money

*2019-02-01*

Rubbish app, looks like the original wonder weeks but isn’t. No where to put your baby’s details for it to automatically calculate the week. A bit hard to work out what week your baby is at each time. Just not worth the money, wish I could get a refund.

**Developer response:** Hi,

the Audiobook option provides you with audio recordings for all 10 developmental leaps, and there is no option to input data. Please contact me at our support email so we could go into details and resolve this for you.

Regards,
Marco

### 1/5 — Don’t recommend

*2019-01-08*

Not worth a cent!
Everything in this App can be found on google if you don’t already have the common knowledge of baby stages.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Sorry to hear your experience with the app was not that positive, but I believe the app has proven it's worth to tens of thousand parents who were able to find useful information using it. The content provided is a result of a longtime scientific research. On the other hand, information obtained by googling different websites can often be misleading.

Best,
Marco

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2018-01-13*

I already have the wonder weeks app and bought this audiobook because I wanted to hear all the extra information found in the printed book that is not included in the app. Unfortunately this audiobook includes only the information that’s in the app and is not the audio for the print book. Disappointed that I spent money on this

**Developer response:** Hi,

Sorry to hear you did not find what you were looking for, but please note that the app description on iTunes clearly states the app content. If there is anything we could help you with, don't hesitate to contact me at support.ios@thewonderweeks.com

### 1/5 — What a rip off!

*2016-09-02, version 1.0*

I paid for this thinking I paid and it's done. No! You pay $.99 to hear a stupid intro and get the first chapter. You have to pay $.99 FOR EACH CHAPTER after that, totaling another $10!! Do not get. So mad.

### 2/5 — Where is the original wonder week app gone

*2019-01-06*

Hello,
I had the original wonder week app but it kept saying it needed to be updated which I tried for days but would just keep going back to the little update symbol.
I deleted the app and went back in to purchased it and only found this wonder week app? I don’t like this one? Is there anyway I can redeem the original one back please?

**Developer response:** Hi,

The issue you mention is most probably related to the iOS version of your phone. Could you contact me at support.ios@thewonderweeks.com so we could discuss and resolve this?

Best,
Marco

### 5/5 — Complete audiobook for cheap!

*2017-02-27, version 2*

The $3 pays for the entire book. You can download the chapters, delete and redownload when you want so you can save space on your phone. Maybe they changed it due to earlier complaints.

### 4/5 — Audiobook version

*2018-11-12*

The wife bought this by mistake even though it says clearly in the description. Make sure you pick the right app if you’re thinking of buying this.

### 4/5 — Great resource!

*2016-10-13*

Super helpful information. The APP needs work though. Can't fast forward and each chapter timeline stops early.

### 3/5 — Seems fine; where is the speed setting

*2020-12-30, version 3.1.1*

How can there be an audiobook in this day and age that doesn’t let you listen at different speeds?

**Developer response:** Please reach out to support@thewonderweeks.zendesk.com so we could advise. Best, Maria

### 3/5 — Needs Updated Functionality

*2017-05-25, version 2*

I love listening to audiobooks or podcasts and this was especially great while nursing! I got the app after my first baby and found it really helpful at a time when I was looking for some guidance and help. Reading books just wasn't in the cards for me in the first months but I was interested in the content! And the additional reading pieces provided on each leap are so helpful and a great bonus. They're something you can go back to and reference without having to listen to a whole chapter again.

Here are my hang ups and reasons for three stars (which have everything to do with the app functionality and not the content). I give the content five stars and really appreciate it being accessible this way, but there are some pretty basic improvements that should be made! First, if you pause and your phone locks, the player does not go back to where you left off. So you'll want to take note of where you are when you pause if you're not able to listen to a whole chapter in one go. Second, you download the chapters as needed, but you can't remove them from your phone without uninstalling the app and the re-downloading it. Third, once you finish a chapter, the player automatically starts playing the intro (which I still have downloaded because I don't want to take the time uninstall the app and re-download as mentioned above). I think the audio should just stop after a chapter is finished! Lastly, for whatever reason I am not able to listen to the chapters through my car stereo like I'm able to listen to music. Now that I'm back at work I'd like to listen during my commute, but when I plug the cord in it doesn't work.

**Developer response:** Hi,

thank you for your extensive review. It's always nice to see when your app is appreciated. However, the issues you mentioned are real and we do need to work on them for the next update. Once again thank you for your feedback.

All the best,
Marco

### 3/5 — Easy to listen to but some app improvements needed

*2016-11-12*

Would be better if the progress bar when you play a chapter went the whole time of the chapter. For example the time bar for Leap 4 goes to 28mins 58secs but the recording is longer than this and if you don't listen to it all at once you can only scroll to the 28:58 point and listen from there. Rather frustrating if you need to stop and start.
Also cannot pause for too long and come back to it - goes back to first screen. This would be ok if you could fast forward to where you were at but with the progress bar issue you can't.
