What's New in TheHouseManager
3.0.2
August 5, 2026
Messages, all grown up: • Direct messages between The House and students & parents — reply, react, and keep every conversation in one place. • Group chats: staff can bring a student and parent (or a study group) into one shared thread, with everyone's messages clearly labeled. • One Messages tab for students and parents: your inbox and House announcements together, a quick switch apart — and sessions now live right on the student Home screen. • Swipe a conversation to mark it read or unread, or archive it; pin the important ones and find everything with the new menus. • Group sends now show who has read and replied, with one tap into any recipient's conversation. Easier, safer sign-in: • Show or hide your password on every screen that asks for one. • Quick-login credentials are encrypted with your PIN, and Face ID keeps working when you change your password. For staff: • A reorganized menu that puts Messages, Announcements and Attendance first, with a new Admin Tools section for Oases, system settings and database tools. • Settings is now grouped into Account, Security, Preferences and App Information. • Self check-in mode for iPad: hand a member the tablet to scan their own card, and unlock with Face ID, your PIN or your password to exit. • A real sidebar you can collapse and expand — switching between tabs is instant now. • Census cards line up evenly and no longer cut off grade names. Make it yours: • Fourteen accent colors alongside light, dark and match-system — for staff, students and parents alike. Staff picks sync with the web; portal picks are per device, just like the website. • Pick the page the app opens on when you sign in. Accessibility: • Fuller VoiceOver labels and actions throughout. • Reduce Motion is honored app-wide, and message text now scales past the app's usual limit for comfortable reading. • Color contrast raised to meet WCAG AA across every theme. Plus security hardening and reliability fixes throughout.
