But content loading is abysmal, on a fast network. At 40+% after an hour, I gave up and just deleted the app. It isn't interesting enough to be worth the hassle. ### 1/5 — Nothing is free! *2017-03-23, version 6.0* Should not mislead by offering the app for free but then have to subscribe and pay for the information. Waste of time, deleted. ### 1/5 — Waste of $9.99 *2015-11-06* I am on the latest IOS and cannot get a single magazine to load. I see them but after tapping it goes to blank pages. I let the October issue load but started to read it and it went blank. Deleted the app and reinstalled and restarted twice. No luck. We were very disappointed as we thought the yearly electronic version would be more up to date then the once a year printing. Perhaps some bug fixes should be released to go with the current IOS otherwise this is the same as burning a ten dollar bill. And it doesn’t look like all the previous issues for months and years are there either. I don’t want to subscribe to something that isn’t kept up to date. The March issue is not yet here. Something is amiss now for certain.... ... I have been a subscriber, receiving the monthly Almanac Extra! (with a yearly subscription) since 2016, and while it is not as in-depth as the Farmer’s Almanac (digitally or in paper form) it has been a nice digital magazine to have and enjoy up until January 2020. There was no new release of a magazine (digitally) in January 2020 until the last week and that was for February 2020. Mid way through February, January 2020 was available. Now it is March and no March issue. There seems to be no way to contact Yankee Publishing Inc, the developers of this app, thus no way of determining the problem. What was a useful tool, quick to the points and subject matters, has become useless, since it is not available for the corresponding months. I will give this another month or so, hoping that this problem is addressed somehow, otherwise, if not, I will cancel my subscription, although no refunds will be provided. At this time, if you are looking for an addition to the Farmer’s Almanac, I recommend this one is passed by... ### 1/5 — App not loading *2019-10-09* A one year subscription was purchased a few months back. All was fine. Now nothing a blank screen flashes and then it’s back to my home screen. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Read The Directions and WahLah *2022-08-28* Many try to explain what so many others seem to be having an issue with - so when I got my membership letter saying load the app and go to your account thats what I did. The pop up say when my subscription ends and give a log out option. Click it. Go back up and log in. When I logged back in everything was there. Good luck and HAPPY GARDENING 👩‍🌾 Don’t let the bugs get you down 😂 ### 5/5 — Great Magazine, people with access problems follow directions! *2018-02-16* This is a wonderful magazine and a great reference tool and such a nice gift from tractor supply to give to neighbor club members. I have noticed several people saying that this was supposed to be a free subscription but everything is paid only, however these people are not reading the directions that were sent to them on how to subscribe for their free subscription. It appears that way at first but then when you actually go into my account and enter the email address that is on file with tractor supply that you received the invitation with, when you go back into the main section you will see that you can download several of the previous issues, and if you click on your account again, it no longer asks for email but now tells you when your subscription expires. For example I can now download several months of issues along with several free issues and when I click on my account it now Says my subscription expires February 2019. Just trying to help and thank you again to tractor supply ### 5/5 — Thank you for free subscription! *2017-09-02* If you want the subscription you have to follow the instructions in the email...under my account in the farmer's almanac app you type your email that you got that said you got a free subscription and then you'll see all the 2017 magazines available to download if you click categories/my issues. :) ### 5/5 — What a find! *2016-01-23* This is one of the best apps I've found! Great information and beautiful presentation! I love the fact that I could buy 1 subscription and download it free for my smartphone as well. The iPad and smartphone each have the same info, but designed differently for each device. Easy to read and a great way to share or save the recipes! ### 4/5 — Almanac Extra *2021-10-25* To access current and previous issues you must enter your email address used when you signed up. ### 3/5 — Issues won’t open after downloading *2023-02-24* I got access this app for free last week by subscribing to the Old Farmer Almanac Club. Up until today it worked fine. The issues downloaded okay and were crisp and beautiful to read. Today, however, I downloaded an issue. When I pressed Tap to Read I got a black screen with no option to get out. I deleted and reinstalled the app and got the same thing with a different magazine. I’ve really enjoyed this until now. Almost all the issues were free. However, I can’t access the Extra! Library from the app without paying for the issues, even though it is suppose to be free with my TSC Neighbor's Club membership. I get a reminder in an email every month when new magazine comes out with instructions on downloading app…??? “Don't forget that your Neighbor's Club membership gives you exclusive "extra" access to our EXTRA! library of past issues.” So 3 stars for a promise not fulfilled in the app. ### 3/5 — Fair to partly cloudy *2014-10-28* The content was minimal, and not what I expected for a product of this kind. I was expecting a lot more for the purchase. ### 2/5 — Failure to load *2020-11-16* I subscribed to this app in October 2020 expecting to be able to read a new issue each month. Once the November issue appeared as available for download I tried to open it. Whenever I click on the November issue, it automatically loads the October issue instead. I have tried removing the October issue from my device, and I have tried removing and re-installing the app, neither of which resolved the issue. I am sorry to write a review instead of contacting the app developers directly about this issue, but I could not find anywhere to contact. I hope this issue can be resolved and I can receive all of the issues I subscribed to, as I really like the content. If a resolution can be made I will change this rating. **Developer response:** Hello Shane297, We did have a temporary problem with the November issue which was corrected around the time of this review. I apologize for your frustration, it should have resolved itself automatically, however, if it didn't you can refresh the issues by clicking on the cog icon in the upper right and clicking "Missing issues??"
