## What is TheraTales?

TheraTales helps you meet your child's hard moments with a short audio story built around one specific feeling, not a genre.

Every story comes with a 60-second tip for the grown-up. Concrete things to try tonight, not theory. And every story is reviewed before publication.

Eleven categories cover the moments families actually face: Sleep, Fear, Self-Esteem, Safety, Family Changes, Kindness & Empathy, Emotions, Friendship, Behavior, Perseverance, and Sadness & Loss. New stories are added regularly.

Curious first? Before you make an account you can browse, search, and play any free story in full, with its tip for you. Paid stories play a preview.

Listen together, or read along at bedtime. The words highlight in time with the story, in a choice of reader fonts including Atkinson Hyperlegible, on sepia, warm dark, or system backgrounds.

Built for parents, private by design:
- Written for one specific feeling, every story
- A 60-second tip for the grown-up with every story
- No ads, ever. Not even between stories
- No child profiles and no child sign-in. The only account is the parent's
- Crash reports and usage analytics are two separate choices, both off until you turn them on
- A parental gate before a purchase, before the 5-story bundle confirmation, and before deleting your account
- Background and lock-screen playback with iOS Now Playing controls
- The same library in seven languages, free and paid stories alike

Most stories are 4–8 minutes. Long enough to settle in, short enough for a bedtime routine.

An account is free. It is what lets you buy or subscribe, keep favorites, and download a story for offline listening, free stories included, for planes, the car, anywhere. If you sign up with an email address, you confirm it once before your first purchase or download.

A subscription unlocks the full library, the new stories as they arrive, and offline downloads. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial on Annual or Monthly, where eligible.

Prefer not to subscribe? Buy a single story, or pick five stories from one category. One-time purchases, yours to keep.

Delete your account in the app at any time. That removes your profile, your favorites, and your downloads. A subscription is billed by Apple and is cancelled separately, in your App Store subscription settings.

Languages: English, Ukrainian, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian.

TheraTales is made for you to use with your child. The app speaks to the parent. The child never signs in.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 0.32.0 — 2026-09-30

Thanks for listening with us.

In this update:
• Small design improvements in the Stories tab.
• Settings has a Help section that takes you straight to our support page.
• Smoother navigation, better VoiceOver support and more privacy.

### 0.31.0 — 2026-09-27

Thanks for listening with us.

Small improvements in this update:
• If you already have a subscription, the app now recognizes it instead of offering you a plan.
• Buttons and reading screens are easier to read.
• Other small fixes and improvements.

### 0.30.0 — 2026-09-20

Offline, made easier to find:

• The Stories filters gained an "On this device" group, so you can show only the stories already downloaded in your language.
• When you are offline and have downloads in that language, the Stories screens offer to show them in one tap.
• Without an account the control stays inactive and says why, because downloads belong to an account.

Also in this update:

• Search lists all eleven categories, and the search field is easier to read.
• With an account, "Continue listening" now survives the app being closed in the middle of a story.
• A story's price no longer disappears when the subscription plans fail to load.
• A signed-out parent's catalog refreshes on its own, so new stories appear without switching languages.
• Parental controls explain what they guard, and switching Face ID on or off asks for the current PIN.
• The automatic reading pace no longer slows below 0.80.
• The usage-analytics setting now names everything it turns on, including the app sessions Sentry records when crash reports are on too.
