### 4/5 — Getting better!

*2026-06-30*

App is decent for using the P3. It has many rough edges, but the company is pushing out updates to address some of users’ biggest complaints. New features are nice and QOL updates such as supporting user defined font colors and sizes gives a good impression on them listening to feedback.

Sometimes I encounter small bugs such as the phone camera overlay showing all black for the back cameras, but a restart can fix it.

Asks for permissions like location and bluetooth. These may be to support features on other camera models sold by thermal master. I didn’t allow these and the P3 worked fine.

### 4/5 — Pretty decent

*2026-01-21*

I impulse spot a P1 from an Instagram ad, (which is very much not like me) but the camera was so much cheaper than what an equivalent FLIR module would be, I figured I didn’t have much to lose. I gotta say once you get used to the interface, it’s very full featured and far more than I expected for the MUCH lower price. my only criticism is that the color gradient mapping for temperature ranges has a default behavior that results in the image just being monochrome without an obvious or intuitive way to adjust that. But once you tap on the little unlabeled slider, eventually you find the mode that works.

### 5/5 — Working so far in both apps

*2026-03-03*

I was skeptical, especially since I’m only using it with a lightning/USBC adapter from some cheap borescope I also recently bought. But this thermal camera is working just fine with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Funny enough it’s working better on this than on my Lenovo m11 tablet. Already spotted some spots I need to work on insulating that I wouldn’t have even expected.
