## What is ThermoForge HX?

ThermoForge HX is the pocket engineering suite for shell & tube heat exchangers. Built for process engineers, thermal designers, EPC contractors, plant maintenance teams, and chemical/mechanical engineering students

First-launch legal gate: bilingual EULA & Privacy Policy acceptance with versioned consent tracking.
Calculation Engine
Correction of the F factor for crossflow: now derived from NTU_counter / NTU_arrangement (previously, it was an incorrect approximation that reused the 1-2 shell-and-tube formula).
New TEMA RGP-T-2.4 fouling table with values for 11 fluids, scaling factors by service class (R/B/C) and side (tube/shell).
Shell-side pump power now displayed by the engine (previously recalculated manually in the Econ tab).
Tube-side ΔP limits keyed by TEMA class: R=70, B=100, C=200 kPa.
Honest GUI
Sim: the “Bell-Delaware” label becomes “Kern (fallback)” when the engine falls back on the simplified correlation.
Stats: “Balanced” pill driven by actual imbalance; thermal profile caption follows the chosen arrangement.
Foul: “month 4 of 36” pill replaced by “projection · 4/36 mo” (static, honest).
Sim: removed the misleading claim “iterates until residual — now “closed-form ε-NTU + Bell-Delaware”.
Shared status
Design pressure and TEMA class now unified between Datasheet and Mechanical.
Absolute/Gauge toggle propagated everywhere with suffix “bar a”/“bar g”.
Fixed double ASME B16.5 conversion on flanges.
Volume tab: tubeSide-aware dispatch, corrected Imperial step, unified theme.
PDF/CSV Report
Heat duty unified to Q_avg (standard for the engine).
Added pump power tube + shell, shell method, confidence balance.
