## What is Thimblerig?

One ball. Three cups. Can you keep track?

Watch the ball disappear under a cup, follow the shuffle, and tap your pick. Thimblerig brings the classic shell game to iPhone and iPad, with four difficulty settings and three ways to play.

PLAY AT YOUR PACE
Start on Easy, or choose Medium, Hard or Expert for faster shuffles. Correct picks build your score and streak as you move through the levels.

TRY A DIFFERENT CHALLENGE
Play up to five Daily Challenge rounds with three lives, or race the clock in a 30-, 60- or 120-second Time Trial. Review your scores, accuracy and game history, then try to beat your own best.

MAKE IT YOURS
Choose sound and haptic settings, turn on an optional daily reminder, and play in portrait or landscape. Reach level 100 to unlock the alternate Classic app icon. Look out for an occasional joke after a win.

The game is free and ad-free. No account is required, and the core game works offline. The cup-and-ball shell game is also known as thimblerig: follow the cups and find the ball.

Longer shuffle sequences at higher levels: one extra swap every five levels after level 20, starting at level 25. The speed ceiling stays readable.

Reach level 11 on Expert to see its button become Insane. Your Expert records and 5× scoring stay the same.

Improved timing for rating requests around gameplay, pauses and win jokes.

The review link in Settings now opens the App Store directly.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-21

Difficulty and statistics improvements:
• Switch between Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert between rounds.
• See each difficulty’s score multiplier while playing.
• Stats open on your current difficulty and save best levels and streaks as you play.
• Your normal difficulty is remembered after the tutorial and Daily Challenge.
• Time Trial statistics stay separate from normal games.
