## What is Thimbleweed Park?

A brand new adventure game from Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, creators of the classics Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion! Play as five characters to uncover the surreal mystery of Thimbleweed Park -- a town where a dead body is the least of your problems.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like Thimbleweed Park before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

...Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
...What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
...Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
...Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
...Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
...And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body?

By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered -- and you’ll question everything you thought you knew.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

### 3/5 — Good but overrated

*2026-08-09, version 1.0.2*

I’m not sure why this has such great reviews. I love the retro graphics etc, but the story is just boring and nonsensical. Hard mode is very hard, mainly because things you tried previously that didn’t work, all of a sudden work later on, but you didn’t think to try them again because earlier it didn’t work! Without spoiling it, the ending is just odd and very unsatisfying. So many loose ends are never explained. Took me 16 hours to complete with hints. But i just got bored the longer it went on. The locations were all a bit too similar. The characters weren’t great either, although i did enjoy the clown. There are much better point and click games available on iOS. I’d recommend this only to long term fans of the genre, especially fans of the original Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion games. There are lots of easter eggs for those games throughout.

### 5/5 — 80’s style AWESOME game

*2026-07-01, version 1.0.2*

Ron Gilbert did it again! I loved it! Brought me back to time when I played games like Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island. Thanks!

### 5/5 — If you miss Monkey Island, play this!

*2026-06-19, version 1.0.2*

I had a great time solving puzzles, playing as multiple characters and solving a pretty complex story. It reminds me of many days playing Monkey Island. Love the jokes, the ease of the game play, and the hint system that I tried really hard not to use. Great voice work too!

### 3/5 — Spiel stürzt ständig ab

*2026-05-14*

### 5/5 — More Point n Click!

*2026-05-09, version 1.0.2*

Thimbleweed Park is just a fantastic throwback to the point and click era of gaming. Witty humor, clever puzzle, interesting setting, it’s got all the hallmarks of great adventure games. Plus, nods to X-files and other old school stuff.

Please, make more of Thimbleweed, or similar!!!!
So. Much. Fun.
MOOOOORRREEE!
PLEEEEEEAAAAAASSEEE!

### 5/5 — Amazing 🤩

*2026-04-08*

Best iOS game. Thanks for russian language.

### 5/5 — Highly recommended, do yourself a favor and buy this game

*2026-03-20, version 1.0.2*

2026 edit: why is this creator not making more of these?! He should be pumping out 1 a year. It’s kinda a tragedy that the zeitgeist is being deprived of additional point and click games by this guy

This game is just spectacular. Some of my earliest gaming memories were playing adventure / games my dad bought me like the King Quest series & Day of the Tentacle, This game has some serious nostalgia, great pixel art, and funny voice acting. It’s full of Easter eggs and nods to games that us “30 somethings” played in our youth. It also has an easy mode for adventure game noobs (that I haven’t tried) and has a unique hint system that doesn’t totally spoil the puzzles if your stuck. I highly recommend purchasing this game. It’s extremely well polished & at $9.99 its a steal for the amount of game you get. Shout out to the creators, great job guys

### 2/5 — Crashes all the time

*2025-10-25, version 1.0.2*

I bought it and also the new monkey island. It would be 6 stars but there are two show stoppers. On any iPad with 3GB ram it crashes all the time. And even when I got a new iPad the saves are locked to the device. This review will go to 5 stars when we can save or export save games, and when it get updated to make clear it needs certain iPads

### 5/5 — I need more!!

*2025-10-03, version 1.0.2*

This game was fricken amazing absolutely iconic. I seriously need more series of this. And MORE games like this. When will you guys be making more ?

### 5/5 — Awesome. How did I miss this gem?

*2025-09-16, version 1.0.2*

So much fun. Played it with 11yr old daughter. There is some beeping instead of swearing, and some death, but otherwise was fine for her. Great actually.

There are two difficulty levels. We are playing it again in the harder mode. <3
