## What is Thimo?

Thimo is a collection of Kikuyu proverbs, and what they mean.

Every day it gives you one. Not a notification you dismiss, but a single proverb worth sitting with: the Gikuyu words, a translation, the wisdom underneath, and when your grandparents would have used it.

A PROVERB A DAY
Open Thimo and today's proverb is waiting, in full. Swipe up for the next, down to go back. Miss a few days and Catch Up has them.

THE WHOLE COLLECTION
Proverbs across ten pillars: Wisdom, Character, Patience, Caution, Community, Family, Justice, Wealth, Speech and Leadership. Browse them, search them in Gikuyu or English, and share any of them.

WHAT THEY ACTUALLY MEAN
A proverb without its context is just a sentence. Each one carries the literal reading, the figurative meaning, when to use it, and where it sits in Kikuyu thought.

PRACTICE
Short flashcard sessions on the proverbs you are learning, so they stay with you.

ON YOUR WRIST AND YOUR HOME SCREEN
Today's proverb on your Apple Watch face and in a home screen widget. Glance, do not launch.

BUILT PROPERLY
Full VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type throughout, and Reduce Motion honoured.
Works offline: the whole collection is on your device.

FREE, AND WHAT COSTS
Free forever: every proverb in Gikuyu, browsing, searching and sharing. Today's proverb in full, plus the next two days'. The first two proverbs of every category, complete.

One payment unlocks the meaning of every proverb, the archive of days you missed, unlimited favourites, your own collections and full practice. No subscription. Nothing renews.
