## What is Thing Sorter?

There are lots of good reasons to have a list. Maybe you'd like to decide what movie to watch, or rank job offers. You have lots of decisions ranging from the essential to the mundane. This app can help you.

When you create a list, you can add some options to it. once you have list options, you're ready to sort. This app shows you two items at a time. You decide which one you like best.

You will be showed every possible combination of each item against each other in your list. When you have ranked them all, you will see the list ranked in the order you chose, and the number of times you voted for each item.

You will be surprised and delighted to see your subliminal bias exposed by the ranking of items. It turns out that making binary decisions is far easier than sorting in abstract, but the result is just as satisfying.

## Key features

- Create custom lists of options
- Rank items through binary choices

### 4/5 — Really good app, however

*2024-10-06*

I really enjoy this app and it’s helpful for sorting different lists.
However, one thing I’m a little disappointed by is that you can’t save your progress, especially on ones with a lot to sort through. I currently have one where I have to sort through 208,335 times and if I accidentally remove it from my background apps or have to restart my phone, I’ll lose all my progress. I can’t find another app like this and would appreciate a fix to this issue

### 5/5 — Great thing sorter!

*2021-09-20*

Helps me prioritize and sort my things. It would be cool to have an “elimination style” mode for longer lists, versus the round-robin mode it currently has. Simple and effective!

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2020-07-21*

This app doesn’t have any negative reviews so I thought I’d leave one warning anyone leery of spending money. I found this too be similar to those album sorters all over tumblr, but when I put in a long list, it said I had to do nearly 2000 yes or no. Worst of all, if I close the app, I have to start over. For the developer, for the longer lists I suggest using a program like the ones on tumblr (available to view easily) because obviously if one is at first place and another is at fortieth you don’t have to give me a comparison between the two.

### 5/5 — Game changer.

*2019-06-10*

Total game changer. Thing Sorter has converted time formerly spent mulling over a decision into hours and hours of productivity! Life changing app.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2019-05-30*

Simple. Does what I need it to, and perfectly helps force prioritize any list. Thank you!!!

### 5/5 — So helpful for sorting my things!

*2019-05-06*

I used to languish in uncertainty about my order of preferences for things. Now I know empirically what order I prefer my things!
