### 4/5 — App crashing

*2023-03-27, version 1.2.3*

Pretty good game, but it keeps crashing on me.

### 4/5 — Think like Churchill

*2020-03-17, version 1.2.2*

Think like Churchill is a fun and educational game. I like it a lot and rate it 4/5. The only thing is I wish there were more scenarios. But other than that, I love this game. I recommend it only if you have some knowledge of Churchill or you might get a bit bored. To sum up, I enjoy this game lots.

### 4/5 — An Engaging, Albeit Brief Tale.

*2017-10-28, version 1.2.2*

Don't come into it expecting a pick your own adventure, because you won't find one. It is more like a picture book, woth beautiful animations and art, and a great narrative performance from Boris Johnson. The choices you make are more an opportunity to analyse churchill's decision making and development throughout his career.

If you are interested in Churchill as a historical figure, I would reccomend you purchase, if not, you won't find much here.

### 4/5 — Great, but

*2017-09-23, version 1.2.2*

Great game. Very interesting story telling and interaction. However the only complaint I would have is that your decisions should affect and change the story. Continue to tell us what really happened but allow the gamer to change the story based on his choices.

### 5/5 — This app is a work of art

*2017-07-19, version 1.2.1*

Very impressive and worth way more than I paid for it.

### 5/5 — Great Game

Great game for everyone!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2017-01-19, version 1.2.1*

Great game.

I can open the explanation in other sections like humanity or justice by the "?", but I can't find anything on the section of Churchill and can't see the rest of the Churchill's decision's explanation .

Even though, still love the game. The scenes, background knowledge, and the analysis are fun.

### 5/5 — wonderful

*2016-11-25, version 1.2.1*

an enlightening and inspiring experience

### 5/5 — Excellent App!

*2016-11-01, version 1.2.1*

Fantastic and challenging app, wonderful archive material and great attention to detail and historic accuracy.

### 5/5 — Very interesting

*2016-10-23*

I really enjoyed the game but I would like it to have more option and decisions as this is what I got the game for.

### 5/5 — Great application

*2016-10-16, version 1.2.1*

Very very good indeed

### 5/5 — Entertaining

*2016-08-14, version 1.2.0*

More interesting then reading a book.

### 5/5 — WOWWOW

*2016-01-23, version 1.2.0*

Like with any truly great past time
I am loath to have it end. What a treat ofhistory, thinking and character appreciation. PLEASE, don't stop with WSC.. more historical figures ‼️

### 5/5 — Punchy, succinct and memorable

*2016-01-09, version 1.2.0*

Intelligently interactive and wonderful approach toward remembering WWII and the bravest Prime Minister to serve this nation, Winston Churchill through storytelling. Boris' commentary (as well as his sheer fondness, passion and enthusiasm) both educates and engages the 'user'. Very impressed with the condensing of Churchill's life: punchy, succinct and memorable headlines.

### 5/5 — Splendid app

*2015-12-03, version 1.2.0*

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game, and although I have read about Churchill I learned some new things about the decisions he faced. I must admit I wasn't as wise as he was but it was encouraging to learn some of the reasoning and why it was wise. I would even think that a person could learn something from playing all the sections again, because although you'd know what decisions to take, the reasons might be learned in a more subtle way. A very creative app. The paragraphs at the end were cut off (in my iPad screen anyway) but that is the only bug I noticed.

### 5/5 — Amazing app full of real life adventure

*2015-11-27, version 1.2.0*

If you are a fan of the legendary Winston Churchill or a fan of history, you will definitely enjoy this well produced app. It contains impressive animation, narration from Boris Johnson and some great archival photos and documents. These all help tell the story of some of Churchill's more memorable adventures and crucial decisions. You work your way through each of the stories and are eventually given a chance to decide what you would do in the same situation and why. I can't say enough good things about the app, especially for the price.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Its narrated by Boris Johnson

*2023-08-31, version 1.2.3*

If I had known I wouldn’t have purchased.

### 1/5 — Wtf

*2015-11-07, version 1.2.0*

It doesn't even work on iPhone 4 but you still charged me can I sue and if so how also fix this

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2015-07-26, version 1.2.0*

Doesn't work on iPhone 4

### 1/5 — Grrr

*2015-07-23, version 1.2.0*

Doesn't work on iPhone 4, perhaps test it before allowing me to buy it?

### 1/5 — Overpriced

*2014-12-20, version 1.0.1*

I payed 2.49 for the game seeing "make decisions that change history" yet if you don't make the decision winston Churchill made then your decision does not count and you only get to
Make 5 decisions throughout the whole
Game!! Plus the game is not even
Finished only half of wwII is there the
Other parts are "coming soon " which
Probably means they couldn't be
Bothered and will never be finish it
Not worth 2.49

### 1/5 — Boring

*2014-12-12, version 1.0.1*

Way over priced, boring having fallen asleep to boris narrative. Really would be better to read or watch a proper documentary on the great Churchill. Don't waste your money like I just did

### 2/5 — More history than game

*2015-07-26, version 1.2.0*

It was ok but won't be coming back to it.

### 2/5 — Horrible

*2015-07-24, version 1.2.0*

I thought this game would be fun as you get to make your own choices but they don't even matter. When you make a choice a text screen appears and tells you what you should have made all so you only make one choice every chapter. Also the game runs terrible it has long loading screens and crashes a lot even on my iPad mini 3 so don't buy this game don't download this game I wish I had my money back

### 2/5 — Frustrating experience

*2015-03-08, version 1.1.0*

'Thinking' like Churchill feels like a cheap gimmick. Bad writing and lack of coherence overall logic make the app a mediocre introductory picture biography of Churchill for kids.

### 2/5 — Over Priced!!!

*2014-12-24, version 1.0.1*

Read A Few Reviews That Were Positive And Got Pulled In Only To Regret It. £2.49 To Be Able To Change History.... Great!! Oh Wait You Can Only Make 5!! And Some Not Even Created Yet. JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — THE BEST OF THE BEST

*2024-12-28, version 1.2.4*

INDEED

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing game

*2024-11-21, version 1.2.4*

Just a amazing game just one suggestion, once you make the decision at the end of a story can you make it so there is text saying what Churchill did

### 5/5 — Love it

*2020-04-05, version 1.2.2*

Quirky and easy to navigate. Educational too.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2019-09-06, version 1.2.2*

Well done Boris - an excellent history lesson quite apart from training ones thinking.

At the time of writing - 6 September 2019 - you are really going through the ringer so hope you will use Churchill’s thinking to help you win through

### 5/5 — I just wish it was longer

*2019-02-09, version 1.2.2*

Very engaging, good narration from Boris Johnson, just very short

### 5/5 — Super scénario !

*2018-12-15*

### 5/5 — My kids loved this app!!!

*2018-11-03, version 1.2.2*

I homeschool and my kids absolutely loved this app. They were completely engaged. Please make more of these type of educational decision making history games.

### 5/5 — A must App for any history lover

*2018-06-10, version 1.2.2*

It's one thing to know the rote facts, but it’s a completely different thing to unzip yourself from your own mind and roam around in the mind of one of history's most brilliant and colorful figures. The app is entertaining, educational and enlightening. More than the it nails the historical aspects. Very well researched. I only wish they had used Churchill's own speeches and audio recordings, but there's probably a scrum over the legal rights. This app should have been called WWCD (What Would Churchill Do). I recently (2018) went back a revisited this app and it is still amazing.

### 5/5 — Fantastic game - from an educator

*2018-02-04, version 1.2.2*

As an educator and curriculum designer, it’s rare that I find a resource that I am so impressed with. Think Like Churchill is actually amazing. In fact I would love to see more of these types of mixed media history experiences get made. This app makes use of graphic novel elements, sound and visual design, primary source documents, and interactive game design. It’s a fantastic literacy experience for the player and a great way to explore POV and qualities of character. By asking the player to “think like Churchill” the player must get into the mind of the character and determine what that character, based on what the player has learned about him, is likely to have done when confronted with that choice. Even better, the game asks the player to justify his/her choice by selecting a reason for that choice. The game then compares the reasoning of the player with the reasoning of Churchill to see if you actually can “Think Like Churchill.”

Please let us know if you plan to make more of these- they would be great teaching tools in both English and History classrooms!

### 5/5 — ABF

*2017-08-14, version 1.2.2*

A very well thought of app
