### 3/5 — Game

*2026-05-13, version 2.9.9*

Very good if you have premium otherwise it’s awful same 10 questions over and over again which does absolutely nothing for your skill.

### 2/5 — Where are the cutoffs

*2026-04-10, version 2.9.6*

Why can’t you throw to the cutoff man from the outfield

And you can’t role a double play

### 5/5 — This helps

*2026-03-08, version 2.9.6*

I’m kinda trash ngl and this helps

### 5/5 — It’s good

*2026-02-19, version 2.8.0*

I play baseball and this app helps know what to do with the ball, so I won’t be standing there not knowing what to do.😃

### 5/5 — The best baseball app

*2026-02-11, version 2.8.0*

Helps me in real games make decisions

### 4/5 — Great concept. Imperfect app.

*2026-02-10*

I love the concept of this app, and it is an incredible learning tool for players and teaching tool for coaches.

Where it falls short is in two areas:
1. The UI is not easy to use. It can be difficult to get the option you're trying to use to get selected properly.
2. As a coach, there are times where I disagree with the "correct" answer to some situations. Some of them are just because I have a different preferred defensive strategy, but sometimes they seem to be objectively wrong. But If I choose an option that isn't the programmed answer, then I get it wrong, and that's just too bad.
There will always be different strategies that different coaches prefer, so it's a bit subjective. It is what it is. But it would be nice if maybe there was some way to accept different answers that might serve a different strategy.

Example: Runner on 1B. Base hit to LF. My answer was to field the ball and throw to 2B, so we could get the force out at 2B and hopefully begin a 7-4-3 double play. It's not inconceivable for the LF to get the ball to 2B in time. But the "correct" answer was to throw to 3B, which seems cowardly and too conservative to me.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2026-02-08*

I’m using this app for 2 reasons. First because I’m trying to sharpen my baseball situation/knowledge. As a 2nd basemen it’s really important to watch the ball, know here it’s going before every play and to talk to the team before. The 2nd reason is because I believe it will help me make my high school baseball team!!!

**Developer response:** Fantastic! Great to read this! Keep Thinking Baseball and good luck with high school tryouts!

### 5/5 — ❤️

### 3/5 — Silly bug

*2025-11-24, version 2.7.6*

I understand the outfielder should attempt to field the ball resulting in an out, but if he doesn’t catch the ball then what lol

### 5/5 — Goon

*2025-10-26, version 2.6.21*

### 5/5 — Download now

*2025-09-19, version 2.6.21*

Helps me in real life situations and is fun and easy to use

### 4/5 — This is a good app

*2025-09-13, version 2.6.21*

The app is fairly good, I had trouble finding out how to throw the ball. This app helps me as a second baseman practice while I’m not on the field. It is a very good app but might need some improvements but overall I recommend using this app if you are looking to practice without being on the field.

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-09-11, version 2.6.21*

It boosts skills

### 3/5 — Great idea. Just ok

*2025-09-06, version 2.6.21*

Great idea with this app. I was thinking of introducing this app to our 7U travel team to boost their baseball IQ. However, some plays have multiple correct answers. I feel like there should probably be multiple choices for some plays. Overall okay.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where are the cutoffs and double plays

*2026-06-19, version 2.9.9*

Why can’t you throw to the cutoff man from the outfield

And you can’t role a double play

### 1/5 — Real version cost money

*2026-04-25, version 2.9.9*

I got this thinking it was free but then I realized that you had to pay real money!!! I may be a cheap freak but I don’t care. The free version was still pretty good but it only had about ten questions. Buy this if you can afford monthly payments.

### 1/5 — The worst app I have ever used

*2025-11-30, version 2.7.6*

It doesn’t even work it is horrible I hate it.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-10-07, version 2.6.21*

This app is laggy and when I put an answer it counts it wrong and explains the exact same thing I put!!! And it can’t even show me the results!

### 1/5 — TERRIBLE

*2025-09-06, version 2.6.21*

This app is terrible because the questions are meant for almost college and my 11 year old tried it and couldn’t get a single one right

### 1/5 — It’s buns, but kind of fun if it worked

*2025-08-23, version 2.6.21*

It’s so hard because of the spots that you put the circle in for the position or for the play are so small it’s hard to see which one you’re doing and sometimes it glitches and doesn’t even work but it’s a smart way to learn plays if you like playing games on your phone, and like also playing baseball

### 1/5 — .

*2025-07-22, version 2.6.15*

this game is wrong and didn’t give me the right options

### 1/5 — This game does not know what real baseball is

This game says I’m doing everything wrong when I’m not

### 1/5 — good idea, difficult to use

*2025-06-08, version 2.6.15*

I wasted 15min trying to figure this app out and gave up. Need to find an easier way to find and submit answers.

### 1/5 — Don’t

*2025-05-17, version 2.5.6*

It only talks about how the major leaves play

### 5/5 — Make better

*2026-04-26, version 2.9.9*

It is glitching

### 5/5 — Teaching my 7 year old

*2026-04-12*

I am a mom who doesn’t know baseball well. This app is perfect for teaching my son the rules and where to make the plays. Most of the kids on his team have their dads coaching or taking them to watch games. Since we don’t have that I needed a way for him to learn the plays as the other kids are picking up the game faster.

**Developer response:** I can’t tell you how much your review has made our day! We’d love to see more and more parents use Thinking Baseball to connect with their kids and help them better understand the great game of baseball! Keep on Thinking together!
